That’s the joke, as someone else said that people were crying over the smallest most insignificant nerfs. People said reversals were too strong, didn’t see them nerfing the reversals as opposed to making them harder to do thogh, but i guess they don’t want to remove the shortcut motion and i heard they made a few BNB combos easier
bnb’s? whose? or do u mean that the shortcut motion made them easier?
Uhh well bisons scissor trap is supposedly easier, guile can apparently clp to flashkick easier…things like that where someone mashing could have gotten out of it in SF4
and poonko likes to do fancy stuff, fancy stuff is not always the hardest stuff but sometimes it’s the not used very often stuff.
lol so true.
define ‘easier’ It’s already pretty easy…maybe ur talking about harder to escape or some shit?
and where was this ever stated, ooc?
In all respective threads based on the videos that had been posted. By easier i suppose it would probably have more of a frame advantage on hit, as with the guile video a player of low skill level was able to perform the combo easily, whereas i’ve yet to see even an elite level player perform that combo in vanilla.
You mean on block right? Hits from SK knockdown.
I highly doubt it all, Cr. lk has the same frame startups, and LK SK is still +0 on block.
Maybe because of the added charge buffering, but as far as the actual execution goes, that isn’t a problem.
He said something along the lines of “You can’t say Ryu is easy/overpowered unless you’re me, John Choi, or Daigo. If you want to say that, you have to add ‘in my opinion’ before you say it.”
Definitely full of himself. He’s right in the sense that you can say whatever you want, but unless you know a character well enough at that level of play… you aren’t qualified. Though it is obvious Ryu has more going for him than any other member of the cast.
Doesn’t the scissor trap involve cr lk? So i’m talking about cr lk since that’s the way to setup the lk SK. They aren’t going to make it so that cr lk is a 2 frame startup, making it slower on startup is a needless nerf, and so is making lk SK unsafe. If they reduced damage on some of what bison can do, it makes more sense that they made cr lk more lenient to allow easier combo-ability
I can only see what you are saying as far as how many frames cr. lk is active, changing any of the frame data makes the loop broken, as there aren’t many characters in the game with a 3 frame start-up normal.
Like if SK was given +1 on block, no character in the game could stop it without an invulnerable move, same with cr. lk. Now if cr. lk has like 1 or 2 more active frames so that you can cancel scissor kick easier than yes, that is fine but unnecessary as it’s pretty easy right now…
No, the cr.lk is just his bnb … c.lk x3 xx lk.sk. Presumably by trap people think you’re referring to his corner pressure in which he can just about spam it with no threat to himself. bnb /= trap. It’s not exactly a trap if you hit confirm into it…
Changing cr lk so that it’s just abit more of a frame advantage on hit does not make it broken at all
Uhm name one character that has a 2 frame startup normal, if Cr. lk was made to have a 2 frame startup, it would be broken. If SK is given +1 on block, 2 frames of startup on cr. lk are what matter.
Essentially noone would be able to stop it/jump out of it without performing a shoryuken or EX invulnerable reversal.
As it stands balrog can jab trade, and chun can jab trade, dhalsim’s standing back light kick can trade, basically alot of normals can trade to stop it.
I already said that. I also said that if cr lk was more lenient on hit because of recovery and not startup, then it’s not broken at all.
What’s funny about that is Ryu has 4 normals with 3 frame start-up. Favoritism? noooo:)
Ryu is Ryu.
having 3-frame cr lp or cr lk for charge characters should be mandatory imo.
Chun and Rog have it easy, theirs is sooo much easier to link than Bison’s
Chuns crouching lp seems godlike, until you compare it to balrogs…
Sometimes i wonder how that can happen, having a 3 frame cr jab that was +6 on hit would go sooo far towards making guile and vega more viable, especially since chuns jab damage is 40.
