Sorry if I’m completely wrong but I honestly thought this was the other way round. Not being around back then the only things I have to go by are stories and old grainy clips on youtube. It seems to me Daigo and Nuki were the ones doing the v-akuma shit first and then Bas arrived on the scene later and took it up a notch. You can see in the 1998 tourny clips all the v-isms aren’t that damage efficient and there’s no fancy OTG shit. I really thought Bas came to prominence after the initial Japanese tournament. (Oldest clips I can find from him are from 2001) I really don’t get all these Led Zeppelin analogies, thought Bas was a pretty well known top player…believe me I’m not just trying to give Daigo credit where it isn’t due, I just genuinely thought he was one of the pioneering Akuma players back in the day. ANYWAY…

I like to throw aduken.
Its a bad idea if you get attacked before the rose hits. Otherwise, its the smartest thing you can do. Not having the option to parry it WOULD make it OP as you get no wakeup options ever and get to start every wakeup in a blockstring. Rose gets parried all the time in top level play, so maybe get back to licking sirlins salty, crybaby balls.

looking at the new vids it seems that fadcing into ultra is not as useful. almost a waste.
