It depends on what Ultra you have seupt and what you’re trying to do… it’s hard to make any judgment on that based on the fact that there was only one FADC in the vid and it wasn’t into Ultra. My guess is the player was goind for stun. Otherwise that’s fine, you get to keep more meter.
The speeding up of the FAs really seems to benefit ryu though. That ultra is pretty powerfull. You’ll just have to find different ways to land it.

Well ryu looks like he plays exactly the same. He actually looks better given how fast the game is now.
Few things worth noting:
-Poongko used cl.MK to followup f+HP instead of c.HP. If he had to, it could mean that startup on c.HP is longer by about a frame, or that f+HP gives less frame advantage.
-Metsu Shoryuken seems to have fairly quick startup. Looks fast enough to catch backdashes on reaction, as we’ve seen that happen twice now.
-HP SRK still has some measure of invincibility on startup. It beat Ken’s FA clean when it was pretty much touching him already.
-EX Hadoken does more damage than HP SRK FADC

Well i’m just saying him choosing to do a particular link over another could be due to personal preference rather than physically being unable to do the cr.hp followup after f+HP.
That’s why I said “If he had to”. It’s Poongko. He may have done it because it looked better to him, I dunno.
But he can normally land f+HP > c.HP no problem. That link has yet to be confirmed either way.
close Mk is easier, thats all.
I think for the most part, his links are still retained, he still has his badass links.
yeah and if you’ve ever seen poongko, he often does links that are not the strongest/ are more flashy just for fun.
It’s just more him going with the flow.
If thats the case hopefully cr hp isnt possible anymore so all ryu’s can “go with the flow”.

this is a character depending combo on sf4, and may be the same in ssf4.
so may be he us st.mk to te sure that the r.hp after the hado fadc will not miss.
at worst after sls ryu is +3
cr.hp is still possible after cr.lp on hit so at least cr.lp on hit is +4
it means that at worst you will still be able to do sls cr.lp cr.hp shoryu
ryu doesn t seems bad, and the super being nerf is ok. there is always the way to confirm hit after cr.mk hado or cross up air tatsu.
