You have to be right next to the baddie, I checked it this afternoon. Not sure if wild swing lands you close enough, you’d have to check, otherwise, from the hawkeye pickup, go from fH into s.S j.H headbutt j.S, like Steeler said, if you didn’t already land near them, a dash would fix that.
Havent run much Haggar since early on with chris behid him but i was curious to see if there is any Haggar/Skrull tech? Do any of Skrull’s assists help or extend the mayors combos at all? I like Skrull anchor and I want to run Haggar second to abuse lariat for my point but not sure if they compliment each other at all…
My team use to be Haggar/Skrull/Arthur… I used the Orbital Grudge Assist, but I’m guessing you can use Stone Smite as well. On the Orbital assist it takes a little time for it to combo and sometimes it can knock the opponent up a little high where Haggar’s chest bump launcher will whiff but I’m sure normal launcher will hit all the time.
Abortion punches into Inferno does some nice damage, same with the Team Hyper Combo. That’s all I remember from the team, I didn’t experiment much but you can probably do that for us and tell us how well the duo does together.
Maybe Haggar/Skrull/Sent would work or switch it to Skrull/Haggar/Sent.
Hey guys! I wanna try and learn up on some Haggar but I’m not sure on the team I should put him on. I had an idea or two and wanted your opinion on these teams. I had either:
Haggar-α/Hulk-γ/Skrull-α or Haggar-α/Doom-α/Dante-α or γ
Just wanted to know how ya guys felt about these teams and if ya think they’d work.
^ I like the idea of this team. Jam Session would be a great asset for Haggar, keeps people out of the air and is good for corner mixups and can combo off of it after a OTG drop kick if you time it right.
Doom plasma beam has nice durability which Haggar will need against some projectile heavy teams and you will get Doom’s tac infinite as another plus.
Not sure how damaging the team hyper combo will be but it has Dante Million Dollars so that’s free damage while it’s still active.
They both provide fairly safe DHCs if you need to get Haggar out. I would just have a hard time picking who should be second, with Doom second I get tac infinite but with Dante second I get him on point with Doom beam which will help make my teleports safe.
I would personally use Haggar/Dante/Doom as a correct combo with assist extensions into a level 2/3 THC with million dollars should kill without the risk of TAC. Also allows, as you said, Dante to run around with Plasma Beam
Does Haggar have any amount of synergy with Iron Fist?
EDIT: Also, can I use Ammy Cold Star in OTG pickups midscreen? I’m finding that none of Iron Fist’s assists can do that.
Hello again. Back after some time in the lab. Welp I still love playin’ Dante but as anchor he’s… ehh haha I tried Doom as anchor and I didn’t like that much either. So I went back into the lab trying out a few random characters and found myself liking Skrull. So I was wondering what you guys thought on a team like Haggar-α/Doom-α/Skrull-α. Skrull’s been pretty good in terms of combo extensions as well as leaving me with a much more sufficient anchor and Stone Smite being good for catching dudes off-guard.

My first team in Ultimate was Haggar/Iron Fist… I really didn’t find anything too great with them. Maybe I wasn’t being to imaginative but I dropped the team after like a month. Iron Fist is pretty cool though.
As for Cold Star assist pick ups after Haggar OTG it takes good timing, I tested it out just a while ago and it was working off command grab, normal ground grab, normal air grab, crouching light combo, and jumping pipe combo when I used it as the first assist pick up.
It really depends when you call ammy, I find that calling her as soon as you can then OTGing with drop kick seems to work for me. Because for some reason if you time the assist or OTG incorrectly she will pop out way in front of you and won’t even manage to get one ice ball in. Also if it’s off a normal air throw you have to time Chest Bump launcher later since the character won’t launch because of the last cold star shots.
I only tested this on Captain America, didn’t test it on chibi or big body characters. It feels kinda inconsistent, but I feel like if it’s practiced enough maybe it can be reliable.
I’m trying to run Haggar with Rocket Raccoon on Second or Third (Love that log trap), can I get a Suggestion for a third? Doom (Plasma Beam) is not doing it for me.

A run into this guy online sometimes who plays Haggar / Frank West / Raccoon.
There are a bunch of ways to get level 4+ Frank with that team, from Hagger TAC to Frank, Frank team super with Rocket, or Rocket DHC to Frank.
Or you could just put Vergil on your team and forget all that stuff.
Hard tag combo setup.
Point character can be pretty much anyone who can combo into Haggar’s raw tag. Not hard since Haggar’s tag has amazing range.
The assist character can be any of the following: Amaterasu, Dante, Deadpool, Rocket Raccoon, Thor(B/y) or Trish(y).
If your point character has a way to bring Haggar in without his tag hitting (e.g. Hard knockdown into OTG) then you can add a few more characters to that list: Arthur, Chris, Chun(a/B), CViper(B/y), Magneto(B), Taskmaster(y), Tron.
Dante, Rocket Raccoon and Deadpool are probably the best of them. On top of the required THCs, they also have good assists and ways to combo into Haggar’s raw tag.

The above should be of interest to you
Playing Marvelo has taught me Nova bodies Haggar free
I’m running Haggar on point, with Arthur (Dagger assist) serving as anchor. Currently, my second position is a continuous revolving door because I just can’t find the right character to use. I’ve tried Frank, Doom, Phoenix Wright, Deadpool, and Nemesis. None stuck.
Suggstions?

I’ve been basically through the same thing, so far I’ve stuck with spencer but I’m so hot garbage with him makes me want to switch. But his slant grapple assist is great for haggar especially for resets. doesn’t really help arthur out much though if you happen to have him on point. spencer also gives an ok team hyper combo, although when it comes to DHC’ing haggar out safely spencer doesn’t have safe hypers at all.
Dante seems like a great choice for second, Jam session is a great assist for both haggar and arthur in my opinion. team hyper with Dante is nice and he basically gives haggar a safe DHC out with Devil Trigger. I just don’t have the desire to play Dante.
A low tier option I was contemplating was Shuma with mystic ray but his hypers seem so lack luster.
Other characters I’ve seen played with haggar are Magneto, Dorm, Chris, and Wesker.
So I’m looking at Chris haggar and strange on a team but not sure of the order or assist for strange.
Help plz?
try bolts as helps extend combos, approach and mix ups/ 50/50s
I recently picked up Haggar because I was attracted to the assist to put behind Wolvie or Dormammu as a dedicated assist. To practice Haggar I’ve been placing him first and second on a couple of teams.
My Wolvie team currently looks like Wolverine / Doom(beam) / Haggar. It is designed to be 100% front-loaded. Wolverine gets safer berserker slashes and easy combo extensions with Lariat and a beam assist/TAC options with doom.
In one practice team I’m trying Haggar / Nova / Ammy. I got the idea after realizing I could react to zoning and projectile supers with Lariat xx QCF hyper and DHC into Nova’s QCB hyper, blowing through and punishing all projectiles with a full combo. Cold star seems decent for Haggar and is awesome for Nova.
Finally there’s the old standby of Haggar / Doom(missles or beam) / Ammy. I like this one because I can use haggar to battery for the doom/ammy THC strategy, plus I get two top tier assists. I am having a hard time deciding on doom’s assist - beam is great for getting in but missles are easier to extend combos with. In fact, I’ve been labbing trying to come up with a combo that starts from an air pipe hit and ends with a missle OTG into st.L xx H hoodlum launcher. Missles seems to lift them too high to accomplish this.
The wolvie team is staying as is. What I need are some suggestions on the best composition for a team with Haggar on point or second using characters I’m comfortable with. Here is the list of those characters:
Firebrand
Sentinel
Vergil
Nova
Frank
Ammy
Taskmaster
Akuma
Wolverine
Doom
Dormammu
Hulk
I want a team that is either A. designed around supporting and extending the combos of Haggar on point, or B. puts Haggar on point to battery for the latter 2/3rds of the team. Combo hints for your suggestions would be appreciated too!

…wolverine or haggar? I figure while logan is probably a better point character(still think thats a lil up for debate) haggar brings a good assist and a good CC to the team, plus he makes a significantly better battery than logan.
Question about this statement - specifically the part about the battery Haggar. What is the preferred method to battery with Haggar? Try to get the hit and then go for meterless combo extensions? What exactly makes him a better than average battery?
Haggar/Dorm or Firebrand/Ammy sounds like an interesting team, you can also do “follow my lead” THC with either Haggar or the second characters with Ammy. Although it’s somewhat difficult for me to pick up with Ammy assist after Haggar OTG, the timing seems strict for it to hit the way I want it too.
Haggar/Dorm/Firebrand would be a fun team if you have lots of meter as well. Can set up some unblockables with blocked Dorm stalking flare DHC into Firebrand speed up into fully charged swoop. Neither of the assists help Haggar out in neutral situations, but it’s fun when you do get the hit with this team.
