you could try calling sentinel before you launch, hitting the opponent down into drones, which will give you the chance to pipe them down again after the third one hits.
For a combo extender a light hoodlem launcher into qcf. S back down and body slam. A M Hoodlum may work for reset, not sure if it will work, just theorycraft
Hey so I currently play wolvie/doom/sentinel but I’ve been thinking bout dropping logan for haggar, long story short historically I play grapplers and this is the only game so far that I haven’t mained a grappler(closest is sentinel, but he’s no grappler) so I’ve been thinking bout dropping wolvie and picking up the mayor but Im not sure if haggar is a good long term investment. Personally I tihnk haggar with a pair of good assists is the real deal but I figured id ask the professionals for their opinions.
So what do you guys think? In your honest opinions, wolverine or haggar? I figure while logan is probably a better point character(still think thats a lil up for debate) haggar brings a good assist and a good CC to the team, plus he makes a significantly better battery than logan.
I was thinking bout doing haggar(lariat)/doom(plasma beam)/sent(duh!), but what do y’all think?
have you tried thor? he seems more grappler-ish to me.
but that aside you can always try it out. not sure how I feel about two horizontal assists, they’re made for different purposes so it could work.
Yea not a thor fan, I definitely prefer haggar as a character overall, ill give it a few runs, not sure how it will work but only one way to find out I guess.
How does Haggar/Frank/Taskmaster sound to you guys?
Personally, Haggar’s not super-consistent to get Frank to level 4, without specific thirds. I like the team in theory, but it’ll require TACs and grounded Rapid Fire Fist hits.
Haggar/Frank/Spencer may be stronger. Spencer restand allows you to launch into air S and a second picture from a first picture, midscreen or corner. And it extends for Haggar and makes slightly scarier resets with both of the first two characters. Also, ground rapid fire fist combos from a lot of different confirms with the restand, mash like crazy, then you tag frank, lariat and picture, S air S, picture, almost instant level 5 from 1 meter.
Haggar would probably work with Spencer second, if they didn’t die from the combos early, Spencer could DHC in and hooksinass, rawtag to Frank, and get a lot of hits that way.
Taskmaster/Frank/Spencer would work, but it has limited tech. Here’s a video I made on one of the ways to level him. There are probably better combos for this team too, I’m just too lazy to lab them more. [details=Spoiler] [/details]
Also, Haggar and Frank could probably work with any of the DMC characters, though who and in which order is up to you. Jam Session, Trish’s Non-Peekaboo Assists, and Judgment Cut assist all relaunch for Haggar (also Rapid Slash, but Judgment Cut assist makes you look like a kewl crazy guy), though Trish’s are finicky.
Are grounded RFF hits considered a bad thing? I can generally pull them off pretty well. I usually combo them off of the first hit of a M Violent Ax.
No, they’re exactly what you need to level up Frank, just sometimes they’re the only thing that works, and aren’t as common as, say, pipe, command throws, air throws, so on.
Spencer turns everything into Grounded RFF setups for Frank, which are usually preferred because they guarantee a level 5 Frank.
Haggar (Lariat) / Hulk (Gamma Charge) / Arthur (Dagger) ?<br><br>I know this team gives no fucks, but also is pretty free to morridoom/ devil may cry based teams. What do you think?<br>
Landmine for Haggar incoming is cheap
Raw tag setup I found with Felicia + Haggar against big characters (By far the easiest on Hulk)<br><br>Felicia > Any combo ending with Air Delta Kick in the corner.<br>Raw tag Haggar > Lariat, d+H, f+H + Sand Splash Assist<br>… then do what you want. dp+L into spin, dp+H reset loop, etc.<br><br>It works no matter how long Felicia’s combo is since none of the moves I’m using with Haggar are affected by scaling.<br>This should also work with other characters’ groundbounce moves, but I haven’t done much testing in that regard because I don’t give a damn.<br>
I’m thinking of running MODOK (bomb)/Haggar (lariat)/Doom but, the one thing that is discouraging me is effective ways to optimize damage when I have haggar on point. Its not like mystic ray assist where I can convert into TOD off of any throw/touch. I find Missiles very finnicky for extending combos and modok bomb is even more finnicky. I see people saying missiles is great for haggar but is it really better than doom beam? anyone have video of a haggar effectively converting damage off of missiles? Or is it purely used for neutral?<div><br></div><div><br></div>
i tried using missiles, and i find beam way more effective. haggar needs an assist that clears shit for him (beam) more than whatever missiles do for him. it’s also impossible for haggar to convert off any sort of grab with missiles, unless you are godlike and call the assist before you land the grab. beam is difficult to convert grabs with, but it can be done.<br>
MODOK bomb should be easier in the corner, but I can’t help you as far as Doom missiles go, but I do agree beam is better for Haggar, however missiles are definitely better for MODOK.
was thinking either haggar/doom/strange, or haggar/strange/strider, any opinions?<br>

Vajra really helps keep your opponent grounded or from throwing out shit randomly and even has some combo usage off of a hoodlum l.<br></div>
