This fucks over TO organizers the most.
i guess this was a bigger issue than what i thought earlier, but apparently it’s reached everywhere on the internetz. if casuals bring in the most amount of money then this news is going to put a small dent in sales but enough to sting capcom. a selfish, naive part of me hopes it ends up selling less than what they planned and they’ll start catering more towards the ‘hardcore’ and take stupid shit out of sf games.
Just heard that someone heard that all gems are unlocked. Assume this is nonsense since it means there’s no point in retailer-specific gems, but anyone else heard this rumour?

I feel like they wanted to wait till the fall and slowly release all the characters while the vita version has everyone, personally it would have been better for them not to include them on the disc,I just want to play alisa and I want her out before evo at least

Let’s also not forget that it pays to hack the game too. People who unscrupulously hacked the game will be months ahead of the people who don’t hack. They’ll already know the ins and outs of the 12 locked characters. So if you’re competitive, you have to hack to stay on the top of your game.
Why don’t companies actually do this? I’ve seen some do it for music, but never stages.
I love stages, I think they add a lot of variety and life to a fighting game.
You could argue that stages don’t matter but I’d rather not fight on the same 12 stages for years.
Stages aren’t a deciding factor in my purchase, but I do value having a large selection, even if it’s just slight changes/different ‘versions’ of each stage; it’s still something different.
For instance with 3rd Strike Online Edition, why don’t they add the stages from the previous III iterations? It makes no sense to me. Oh well.
that’s the worst offender, I think.
Though, it’s likely that those characters are undergoing some modifications in damage and hitboxes.
I’m also speculating that the twelve characters would only be unlocked if a person buys the Vita version. It’s what I would do to insure the sales of the Vita version.
Since I’m neither a tourney nor competitive player, I’m just gonna wait for the dust to settle on this.
well I’m sure microsoft would like this :looney:
DLC code.
Have the CapCops stopped caring about people posting DLC characters videos?
More or less reached the point to where they can’t stop anyone to see it by now.
If it gets taken down, rest assured; it will spring up under a different name.
Pretty much. It was already out in the open, no need to keep it under wraps for yet another month.
Come EVO, things will be so stupid.
Aren’t the tourneys PS3?
What about the Xbox users? Are they forever disadvantaged due to them not being able to learn MU against Cole and other exclusives?
Console exclusive characters are always banned.
This game is amazing. I’ve been playing it for the past two hours and it might have dethroned CVS2 as my GOAT just based of how 110% Capcom went on the presentation.
And that’s no speculation there, kiddies. That’s just the truth.
Getting this game soon, can’t wait
Man i love Sak’s english VA. Can’t wait for her DLC
edit: okay, just read the announcement that she won’t be available until sometime September. Head about to explode, Alisa style.
