yo liero hows the progress going?

While I’ve tried my best to get it all done by the 15th, It’s not going to be 100% done by then. I managed to finish almost everything except BIN Taeko and Yoko (having creative difficulties with these two). These two will not be ready by the 15th pretty much no matter what… HEX Oliver and Tsukiko might be done by then, but I can’t say for sure. The character guide is done (for the most part) and the full re-balancing is done. The character guide has all the data collected and it’s accurate, but its not currently in a colorful fun to read format just yet.

I’ve been thinking about what I should do for a bit now, and I’m probably just going to release what I have done on the 15th. This will include the revamped online version. Everything else will come as soon as I finish it all.

A lot of the slow down, to be honest, has come from me being a bit exhausted with the project. I’ve been working on it nearly non-stop for the past 4 years. I don’t have any intention of abandoning the Unity version at all, but once the last patch is out, I’m going to take a bit of a break from it as I have been dying to work on a few new projects. I have a tentative date for when the final update will be released, but I’d rather not say what it is until it gets a bit closer.

What’s going to be in the final patch?

To start, all 24 character slots will be filled. Not everyone will have all 3 fighting styles (this is a demo, remember?). There will be more stages, songs, and all characters will have their new, updated voices. Relatively soon, I’ll also go more into detail about what I want the from the Unity version.

DEC Maya’s fireball doesn’t hit when it looks like it should and EX Shoryuken whiffs after two hits. Other than that, she’s too painful for my fingers.
BIN Roy is very interesting to use. I haven’t found a combo where the BIN cancel is any use though. He can’t do an air cross-up by the way. Not sure if that’s intentional.
BIN Nadia can’t do her A, B, 236A Loop anymore. Not sure if it’s intentional, probably is.

Other than that, it’s great that there’s finally an update. Can’t wait to try the online version.

EDIT: Apparently, Charlotte’s Blood Orb doesn’t work either.

Bin Maya may have some probmems with her 236A\B\C>4 follow up.

Its crossup+safe on block. You can avoid wake-up specials and apply tons of pressure if you mix A&B versions.

I just posted a 1.6010 patch to fix a few other problems I found earlier this morning

Fixed the Maya issues you addressed as well as some collision problems I noticed with a few choice characters. Nothing major, just some moves were behaving in a way they shouldn’t have been.

Yeah BIN Roy can’t cross up. He’s not really supposed to jump too much. He’s also not too reliant on the Rapid Cancel as you’ve noticed. If you can get them in the corner though, you can combo into 214B,214B,214C [RC] 214C [RC] 214C. It’s pretty painful. Or you can save the meter and do 214B, 214C, 2B, 214EX.

Yep, that particular loop was removed.

Charlotte is a charge character now, so that 4_6 notation is “hold back for 55 frames, press forward and attack button”. I also patched this to make charge commands more reliable. They weren’t really working very well before.

Yeah I agree. I wanted it to function like CHun Li’s Hazanshu, but it’s a bit too good. I made 236A -3 on block, 236B -5 on block, and 236C -7 on block. Still relatively safe, but less abuseable. I also removed the invincibility from non-EX versions

I meant that it wouldn’t collide. I fully understand how a charge character works.
