I got to play earlier today, and I’m loving Taeko even more. Her chain is so ridiculous. And I found a BnB I never thought to try. If anyone’s interested, It’s 2B 5B 2B 236A. I will work on finding a finisher later or something.

On another note, after reading the online logs, I can’t help but notice that there are some concerns over Taeko?
Taeko’s chain may need to be retooled. And definitely shouldn’t pull your opponent in on block. It allows for easy guard crush combos, and is quite unfair if the opponent is in the corner.

Wow nice. I tried my best to make Maya a more open character (combo-wise). Looks like it worked.
I sure have and it works pretty well. There are some buffering issues i.e. some chains are harder and the more technical characters require a bit more accuracy, but other than that it’s pretty great. I think RichHobo has tried it as well.
Yeah this is a mistake in the command list. Shoku is actually 236A/B/C now instead of a normal grab. Fixing this for the next patch.
Also, got featured on the front page again; which is pretty cool. Maaan some people hate the art work though.
Finally, I’ll be on this Saturday from around 4pm to 7pm or so. If you feel like challenging me, get at me on Tunngle. Also, I’ll be streaming it if there’s enough people. If not, I’ll just record the matches and upload them later. Tekkaxe may also be joining.

People don’t appreciate original hard work. The artwork is just fine. Sure it’s not polished, but it doesn’t need to be, because it’s an indie game, it’s your embodiment, not theirs.

Eh. Don’t get me wrong; ultimately I don’t really care if people don’t like the artwork. It’s actually amusing to me that it’s rubbing this many people the wrong way.

So I’ve gotten a few bug reports through here. I encourage you all to use this form as it’s quite a bit easier for me to track bugs this way rather than have to scroll through posts on this forum. At any rate, here’s me responding to a few of them in case any of you have encountered similar issues.
Hex Maya Issues

ATK+ATK is only functional when cancelled from a connected attack, so yes; this is intended.
HEX Maya’s 236 Fireball actually has a built in feint if you hold the button down for a little bit longer than usual. If you want just a fireball, press and release the attack button as quickly as possible.
DEC Tsukiko Shoku

It’s sort of bug in that she’s missing a normal grab, but Shoku is now intentionally a command grab. To tech the throw, you have to input A,B, or C in response to what Tsukiko does after the grab lands.
Why is it a command throw now? I felt the normal throw version was too easy.
BIN Supercut 2C

Yeah this was a slight error on my part. The blue hurtbox and red hitbox are exactly how I want them to be, but what’s actually happening here is that you’re doing the move too close and the hitbox is too far forward to hit. I’m going to extend the hitbox backwards so this doesn’t happen, but the rest is staying as an attempt to legitimize this move.

No this was a new thing. I tried to limit this move’s use in block strings. I set it back to somewhere near normal and tried something else. Basically, the second hit wont pull in if the attack is blocked.

Yeah this is pretty much an online only issue. I’m working on other issues like this for a future patch.
HEX Yoko projectile invincibility

Hah yeah. So I have a variable that allows characters to destroy projectiles. It’s rarely used, but it turns out that Yoko’s was permanently on accidentally. This is now fixed.
DEC Supercut 236+A during speed mode

Relatively simple to fix. I had it on a limit, but I don’t remember why. I’m guessing an old version of it was exploitable in some way. I’ll take the limit off for now.
