Boost Gauge sounds interesting.

Looks pretty sweet. Does the game use 3-D, cell shaded models?
3D “skeletons” covered with individual high-res 2D limbs (each limb is animated individually).
Well, I’m sold. ^^
I take it Void is Boyd.
Do these Finger projectiles still have stupid autoguard and power up his super?
Can anyone point me to Rumble Fish matches? Carols matches are off-line.
Here you go… They are old, but still good.

And a High quality version of promo video from Sammy TRF site. 59MB but it is worth it. The Rumble Fish in all of its glory.

Thanks man. Downloading right now…
the game is fluent but really slow. it has potential if it has good game mechanics.
It just like saying that Iceman Rocks in MvC2. Rumble Fish have a lot of features to brake rushdown game. Such as Impact Break or Defensive Arts. What do you think Defence gouge is for???

A lot of people think it’s too slow
Are you all Marvel or Guilty Gear players or something??? TRF is slower than Marvel but not slower than 3rd Strike. Actually it has the same speed as 3S.
No doubt. It has good balance of old and new game systems. It something like A3,GG,3S and KOF put together. Dimps Studio(the developer) consists from old SNK and Capcom workers. So in TRF we have interesting juggle system with air recovery and some wall bounce. The actual ground combo system consist from basic cancels(from normal to special or super), some regular chains and all other classic stuff, and new to 2D fightings Advanced Attack system. Plus you have guard break attack called Jolt Attack to prevent your opponent from turtling. You have dodge system which not resembles Dodge from KOF yearly days, but more like Roll from modern KOF or CvS2. Its animation is not like Ryu roll from CvS2, it is more looks like Balrog or Iory forward evading movement. And you can also do Air Dodge to avoid anti air.
The main flaw of the first TRF game is its small roster of 9 characters. But dont you remember that SF2:WW has only 8, SF3: New Generation - , SF Alpha - 10, X-Men CotA 10. And look in what each of this series developed. So my point is that TRF has a good potential to become great game in its second and third incarnations. Japan fighters already playing in first one and held tourneys. And 17th of March(The PS2 release date) is a good day to order the game and start training.
hmm after watchin the matches kinda seem like going into the air is a big no no in this game. a standing jab was out priotizing that big guys jump in. it just didn’t look right. might have just been a bad choice of a jump attack.
I do think TRF has potential. More than a series like CFJ, KOF or GG. The flow of the fights is unique and theres a different “pressure” to it. Its not a “100% new” game at all, but its not a rehash either.
Rumble Fish is definetly welcome in this dull fighting market of nowadays.
Just reading my thoughts…
Just saw the HQ trailer, looks nice. The gameplay reminds me of the MBR engine with more frills, for some reason. Animation’s a bit stiff at times though. It also does seem to be a bit on the slow side…
I’ve been playing RF for quite some time. It still feels slow…
More info from the Lock Test. Big thanks the Chupiler from the MMC forums.
Er…
I tried downloading 'em and all I got was 9-10 seconds worth of footage. Did the server boot me or something?
Each of them have a 1 min of footage. So it is something with your PC.
I got them to work finally. Don’t know what was wrong the first time.
Either way the game looks pretty good in action and looks like something I might enjoy playing. Garnet looks pretty mean combo/damage wise too! Pretty sweet if you ask me.
Hopefully RF2 will find it was stateside.
Loke Test #2 is going to be taking place from the 28th to the 30th! Only two days away. Dimps says it has taken good note of what players have said too.
I’ve heard rumors this game is looking to be released in March, but I have no source to confirm it.
