For j.HK J.HK Ex Snake Strike, are all the hits of EX Snakestrike connecting?
If so I guess those 2 extra hits make it do a little less damage, like Fuerte’s infinite. Kinda
Yar, every lovely little glowy punch and kick of EX Snake Strike or it’s no go. I also made sure every hit of SOS connects too. Such a pain in the butt. It’s like Hard Trials 2.0, but with extremely specific goals, lol.
The only thing I find weird is that only certain combos will net me all three hits of MP Snake Strike? Is it a timing thing? A lot of the times I get 2 (for the most damaging ones), but I get 3 if I switch it up (but it ends up being a weaker overall combo).

Played around with the level 3 FA. It’s really good when you do some basic combos, but the more complex your combo is, it really dumbs down the damage.

Sorry for asking this, I know its been answered but I’m feeling lazy and don’t feel like searching…
what is the fireball absorption on Tornado, I’ve had some absorb the fireball, blow right threw for a hit while others I just take the hit. I can’t figure out when and why it will absorb.
So far as I know, it absorbs sonic booms, kikokens, hadokens, air hadokens and low tiger shots. It gets beat by high tigers and ex moves. I went through an Akuma red fierball yesterday, which was probably the jab version.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
it only absorbs while you are spinning. not at the start or end of the tornado. and only absorbs 1 hit.

WTF, no effin way, I didn’t think it went through red fireballs. I thought it absorbed the first hit like it does an EX ball, and then you got hit… Also, it will only go through air fireballs if it is under your head/shoulders. It won’t aborb one that comes from the top down on your head while tornadoing. Can someone confirm that it doesn’t eat high tiger shots? I thought it did, but I usually duck under those, so I’m not sure.
I want to add that I HAVE had a single HP Tornado absorb a fireball that hit me as soon as the spinning motion started, and then as I spin towards the shoto, have it absorb the second one they decided to spam immediately after, right before I smack them in the face with my fat hands.
HP Tornado can go through two hits. I covered this earlier, and it’s in the first post of this thread under the EX Galactic Tornado section (the part I contributed).
The only thing HP Galactic Tornado won’t go through is EX High Tiger shot, at all.

Ahhhh, I see now. (Had been a while since I checked first post!)
It took me a while to realize that the 2nd absorption MUST occur during the end of the tornado where he is sticking his palm out. Even against Akuma in training mode, when I knew he was going to throw a double red fireball, it was very hard to time properly. You’d have to be pretty damn slick to pull that off consistently in a real match expecially against quick EX balls. Seems like on top of perfect timing, you’d also have to be the very perfect distance away or they’d easily nail you before you were done spinning… Good to know though.

I think more than anything, this just means that if you’re fighting Akuma tornadoing through fireballs, you have an outside chance of nailing him through a red one.
I’ve had a non-ex HP tornado absorb a EX ryu fireball once. I don’t know the timing, just happened. I can usually get it to absorb one pretty easily.
yeah I absorbed an akuma red fireball with an HP tornado last night and I was like woah; dunno if it was some wacky lag or what

So yesterday, after about 20 matches of winning in a row with Rufus against my brother (who isn’t very good, but oh well), I decide to used one hand (on a Dualshock 3, lol) and actually stuffed my right hand behind my back. I won a bunch of times lol.

I just did, but I managed to armor break him nearly every single time with lots of LP Tornados, Predicted HK Messiah > LK Followup. (trying to FA my jump-ins?)
