4- Lessen the damage of ultra 1. He deals enough damage from his combos and he has too many setups for ultra 1
Bring him down to 1000 health. It’s ridiculous for him to have 1150 and have his specials be so safe on block, not to mention his ridiculous amount of ultra set-ups. That would make him just fine, although still annoying… But balanced.
And it only makes sense that he should be slow…oh wait. Stamina definitely needs to go down to 1050, he’s too good to have such high health.
Target combo hitting crouching opponents? Don’t post anymore, thanks in advance.
Safe FADC? Dude, just backdash cancel instead, you’ll still be punishable, but by fewer moves and not an ultra combo set-up, live with it.
Rufus changes :
1.Less EX SS damage, 200 seems fair
2. Ultra 1 less damage (around 400-450), keep set-ups
3. health 1050 - 1100
4. dive kick better stuffing power on SRK’s
5. Galactic tornado beats fireball (besides EX) on all frames of activation
As stated before, he needs better options against shotos and needs to be less beastly against everyone else.
I agree with better UNDERGROUND hit box for Ultra.
Oh and Rufus could deal with a 100 less health at least. Raise his stun up 100 I don’t give a fuck about his stun but less blocking with the face. Hit hit box isn’t that big and he has an invincible reversal. Even if it takes 11 frames to start up.
I don’t mind them giving Rufus more options for offense to make him more dynamic. As long as they aren’t free setups to Ultra or take away 250 plus life just by doing the move by itself at the cost of one EX meter.
His hitbox is huge actually, I keep getting tagged by shit in all sorts of weird options that I know I shouldn’t.
it would be nice if you could combo into a normal messiah kick. The messiah kick is useless if it’s not EX, and using it to to play mind games only works on those with little skill.
cut the damage on his EX SS, as well as Ultra 1, but keep all his setups.
Give the man some way other than jumping to deal with projectiles… Please!

All his moves kick ass, why are they giving special treatment to him? Nerf his move where he does the kick and you can end it 2 different ways to be weaker, its too good.

Give him a jetpack and a bazooka, and obviously the bazooka should combo into Ultra
if they lower his health give him more stun.

maybe they should increase ryu’s fireball recovery just a smidge b.c. i feel like jumping in after a fireball = dp in most cases.
Rufus is fine but fix the EX SS bug… it shouldn’t do that much damage from a single juggle. Maybe scale back his health a bit too… it wouldn’t make sense if they gave Sagat 1000 but the fatboy gets more.
Otherwise he’s perfect as he is.

he is brain dead. anyone can play any character in this game with some level of competency to where one can minimize a character’s weaknesses. he’s the only, and i stress only, character in this game where virtually everything he has is safe (specials included). even his ultra is safe enough where, even on block, an opponent has to know exactly when to attack, and use an attack that’s fast enough to hit his fat ass (what other top tier, or even bottom tier, characters can have an ultra blocked, and the recovery actually allows them to be virtually unscathed outside of a lp/lk into link?). he has an invincible ex messiah kick that can be done safely without ever having to even fadc (fucking srk, the god of godly moves, doesn’t even have this advantage). to top this all off, he has more ways to combo into ultra that any character in the game, and most of them are simple enough that a monkey could pull them off. example: he can combo into ultra, off of a lk,rh, safely. who the hell else can do that in such a way that doesn’t require awkward spacing or a 1f link? not to mention it mixes up perfectly to mindlessly with a throw attempt.
after having said all of this, my question to you, acidic, is: who the hell are you to sit here and tell everyone else what’s up like you know anything? most people complain about the fact that rufus is easy, you argue against that. your defense? “what tournaments have you placed in?” as if that’s an argument; it’s a cop-out. let’s take your argument and step it up: i live in japan, a country that has far better competition online on daily basis than you’ve ever faced. japan has, time and time again, beaten the rest of the world in sf games, most recently in sf4. what the hell are you going to tell me about rufus? well, i guess it doesn’t matter what you tell me, because until you place in a tournament here in japan, your opinion is exactly dick. but, hell, don’t blame me for that, blame your own idiotic logic.
