Wasn’t planning on filming it, so I don’t think any embarrassing footage will reach the web lol (I also don’t have the equipment to record matches other than shoddy camera footage). The reason I’m doing it so close to release is that I go on holiday the weekend the DLC is released and wanted to squeeze in some fun before I left. I’d be happy to set up a similar series of exhibition matches when I get back though (I’m only away for a week)
I would participate in the matches when you came back, but as i said, i probably won’t be able to get on when it is first happening because of my writing classes (they are only a week long)
I have the equipment to record them straight from my PS3. I have a set of matches with me and Psychoblue up now, and getting the second set of matches up. I will record the matches if i’m able to make them and I will upload them.
That would be great, hope they do sumthing similar on XBL, think it will be a great laugh even there won’t be much high level play going on (because we’re all at day 0 with the DLC characters not cos we suck lol) glad you decided to join up, really enjoyed your last match vid.
that would be great for the follow up set of exhibition matches, we’ll all have levelled up by then too so there should be some good match footage. Without getting too mushy I have to say it’s really great to see the community coming together like this. Keep it up guys!
I would love to. And i agree about the community coming together. I won’t be able to give you more content for Rawtag until next week. Will be on vacation, was uploading all the videos while packing. Leaving early tomorrow morning, but as soon as i get back i’m going back to work
I have just finished up a guide on what moves Asuka can use to punish Hugo on block. I sent the text version out to Rawtag, but i have about 100 minutes of footage of all of my testing that i want to compile into an informative video or set of videos. I’m not that good at editing, so if anyone would like to help me out, send me a message. I will say that I will be away from the desktop where the footage is being stored until about Midnight PTS Sunday/Monday, and it will probably take me a day to render it, so it won’t be till Tuesday or Wensday that I can get the footage to you.
I’m just putting this out there so people may see it while i’m gone and i can hopefully get someone to help me with this by the time that i get back. This sort of thing i think can be very helpful to people who are playing SFxT. I may or may not have internet on my vacation. If i do, i’m going to keep up with things on this thread, if not, see you in about 6 days.

I’ll try my best to preform at a high lvl with ken and lili. @dru i would love to join in and play you all buuuuuut i’m playing lei…so it’s gonna take me a while before i can show off stuff…maybe after a month lol.
That’s a big maybe. August 1st is the day the lease on my new place starts, so I don’t know if i’ll be bringing my stuff down that day or that weekend. I’ll post when I’m sure though: I’d love jumping in on this.
I would love to watch the recorded footage of the DLC Day Tourney. Could someone package it up for us all to watch? Surely you could get it on the front page of SRK?
Sometimes haters actually want to change their opinion but need an ‘out’, else they lose face. When these new characters drop, you might hear ‘oh yeah since they released Blanka I figured I’d give SFxT another chance… its actually not bad.’ etc. So definitely pimping the new chars and even underused existing ones will be a good way IMO to promote the game.
Even myself who loves SFxT and wants it to be centre stage, I often find myself surfing/tuning out while watching ssfevo’s compilations during Ryu/Kazuya matches, just because those characters are so damn common. Where are all the Ravens, I thought that guy was supposed to be high tier?
Oh btw. I went to the spot where the top players play at. Brought sfxt and people were happy to see the game. The people there at willing to support me in that game and help me get better. Man i just had a smile ear to ear all last night. All my hard work and dedication really paid off in terms of gameplay and people who were amazed is stuck by the game. All the OGs in my scene love the game.
