Round 1 Arcade (City of Industry) - SSFIV AE, Tekken, 3rd Strike, BB, Bemani

^^^ make the game 25cents them =] and let me buy a card

Well since I cant get a card I don’t really spend time with ID5 IDK how many more people are like this too, but if it’s a significant amount it might be worth it to drop it from time to p2p instead. I kind of doubt there would be that many people though. Does anyone know if I can use my ID4 card?

Can people stop complaining about how many credits it costs to play AE.
It is already less than $.25!!!

If you think about $25.00 put on to the black round 1 card gives you 120 credits.
The game used to cost 4 credits per play now its 2.

If you actually look at those numbers you can see it costs less than a quarter to play. 4 credits doesn’t equal $1 and 2 credits is not $.50

I understand getting more value out of your credits but c’mon! You guys are asking a little too much.

Also what’s up Mike!!! You’re soo cheap!!!

This. If anything, you guys (if you played the games) should be complaining that:

  1. PIU Fiesta costs 6 credits, whereas Pump PRO 2 only costs 4 credits
  2. DDR X2 doesn’t have Joint Premium enabled (so Doubles takes 2 swipes, which is annoying on a time card if you want to play Doubles first thing)

Exactly. Also if you have it changed to 1 credit it will take longer to get to the bonus credit stages on the card.

That’s not true at all. Math fail.

120 Credits = 25 dollars
1 Credit = ~21 cents
1 play of SSF4 AE (2 credits) = ~42 cents

Maximum Return with Platinum Membership (after 50 visits to Round 1):
120 Credits = 23.25 dollars
1 Credit = ~19 cents
1 play of SSF4 AE (2 credits) = ~39 cents

Minimum Return:
20 Credits = 5 dollars
1 Credit = 25 cents
1 play of SSF4 AE (2 credits) = 50 cents

This information is slightly outdated now that Round 1 has the $100 dollar package and I think a $250 package with even better deals, but if we’re staying within reason (I doubt most people would drop the 100 and even fewer would drop 250), I think it’s reasonable to go with the $25. If anyone is REALLY interested in the theoretical maximum return I can always ask how many credits each of those packages gives.

So I just got back home from my first visit to Round 1 and I gotta say I really like the place. I think its fine too that it’s two credits or $.50 to play a game of SF.

There’s a reason I didn’t quote the 2nd part of that :stuck_out_tongue:

on a different note, as I posted on bemanistyle, the Technika 2 machine DOES like to periodically crash - did so at least twice within a couple hours tonight. I didn’t notice any problem with the bass or speakers though.

This was the arcade that had the recent stream by Valle and Level Up right?

The volume on the bass got turned down, which makes it less noticeable, but also makes the game harder to hear IMO, especially with all the other ambient noise going on at Round 1. The problem is still there but at least for now it’s not so bad. Compared to other Technika machines though, imo the sound quality difference is night and day.

When will round 1 have evil ryu and oni unlocked on the ae cabs? Because AI has them unlocked today.

Dear Staff at Round 1,

You guys have ridiculous rules for DDR tournaments and we will most likley never run them there again.

The fact that you wouldnt let us run PIUP at the same time as DDR is pretty much the most retarded thing ever.

You guys knew we were going to run the tournament the following day yet you decided to not replace the sensors the night before.

I have never seen a 16 man tournament take 8 hours. Congrats.
Durrrr

Good, so the DDR talk is done now?

I LOL’ED. llololol

wow durrrr, you act like Round1 ran the tournament, but they didn’t. It was run by DJ Vest and DJay Echoman. You’re free to not attend any more of their events, you know.

Round1 did maintain the X2 pads the day before the tournament. (If you’re talking about Pro 2, the sensors worked fine Friday night, and your post isn’t specific enough to tell that you weren’t talking about DDR.) The X2 pads have lasted straight days of play by me, PHN!X, and a couple other regulars, so pretty sure the issues were caused by the playstyle of a couple guys. (Of course, that’s not to say it’s entirely the players’ faults, since the pads should be able to support extremely forceful playstyles…)

Also, the tournament was at most 7 hours, which isn’t Round1’s fault. Half the participants were late as was DJ Vest…

This explains a lot

Quit your bitching and thank Round 1 for even providing you with an opportunity for a game as dead as DDR to be given a chance to hold a tournament.

Fuckers nowadays don’t get the idea of appreciation or common courtesy.

Yeah… How much work is it to move those heavy ass machines all the way across the damn arcade and back?

and gg’s last night and props to the other Deejay player i met. You’re stylish.

Listen duke, i haven’t seen you ever show up to a tournament before this so obviously dont know how they are supposed to be run. We ran swiss 4 in 6 hours, with 36 entrants, Match rules+ Round robin in the top 4.

Secondly Vest had very little to do with the tournament running bad, he actually did things surprisingly well. The main problem i had was the fact that Round one would not allow PIUP and DDR to run at the same time, which would be the logical way to run things.

Also we lost like 2 hours replacing sensors and waiting for those idiot mechanics to figure out which sensor is broken… there are only 4 damnit.

Also people showing up late have absolutely nothing to do with the run time of this tournament, DUCY??? (if you dont its because the 7 hours of run time started when the last person got there. 7 hours for a goddamn 9 man tournemnt)

Why are we talking about DDR still

God damn it

Ur pretty retarded, but thanks for chiming in!
