What do u guys do against those really offensive players who keep you blocking with their low/mid hit strings? Does rose have anything specific in that department? I guess I am asking for rose’s options on extremely close range.
Unless it’s Rufus, it’s pretty safe to focus backdash. Her backdash is one thing that’s kept me playing Rose. That method effectively makes her health seem much more than 950. It also builds that ultra meter without taking anything permanent.
If a player pursues you after you backdash, they might be the one who ends up taking damage depending on if they make a reckless decision trying to get back most of that focused damage before it heals up. If you have an ultra at the ready, things could get easy real quick.

Once you learn her normals, specials, and spacing, while you’re healing, be ready to fend off something so as to avoid the corner instead of thinking “I need to heal! retreat!” because nobody is going to want to let you heal. If you try turtling it out in the corner, you’ll never get your life back.

I think Rose has it even with most matches except Rufus, Zangief, Sagat, Balrog, and maybe Seth and Akuma with the match favoring them 6-4.
Dragon punches are bullshit by the way. I guess that’s not news though.

c.mk: either stuffs or forces hp knuckle to miss… ex burning kick will miss also… but vulnerable to ultra and Ex seismo

Well when you knock Viper down, you can do most anything to her. :bgrin: EX Seismo can get beaten/baited by far standing HK/MK, cross-up is always an option, lp spark mid screen might make the Viper player think to use EX Seismo, but I’m pretty sure spark is too slow to let that work. If you’re really working to bait something, and you think the Viper player is on edge enough to use a punishable move, feel free to use ultra if you have it.
When Rose has Viper down and cornered, Viper has to do something she isn’t normally accustomed to doing: block. If you’re up against a Viper who blocks, like anything, then maybe you’ll have to be more selective about how to approach her on wake-up. Though, I’ve always heard the best way to wake up a sleeping snake is to grab them by the neck and throw them in the corner.
Not quite true. If she does a EX seismo vs your meaty c.mk, you’ll be able to block before the active hit frames come out. The only thing is she is able to escape from the wakeup situation for free using this, but she burns meter doing it.
