man he was one of the few guys i seen play back when i watch the PJ’S stream alot when i started to get into SF…it weird but with this death im starting to see alot of cats around my age die and its a god damn wake up call to me with this one.
a very solid rose and from the looks of it a very chill dude…r.i.p
Damn man…cool guy…he will not be forgotten…clearly after he whooped my ass…very talented dude…I’ll dedicate a couple of weeks learning and using Rose jus for him.
Man, this hit me a little harder than I expected it to. I’m not even 2 months older than him and I can’t even imagine something like this happening to me. Goes to show that life isn’t guaranteed and shouldn’t be taken for granted. Reading all these posts from people who knew him personally about how great of a person he was really reassured my assumptions about him from his demeanor on the Rose forums and his Youtube channel. It’s such bullshit that someone who had their life on track got taken away at such a young age. Calling it a shame is a severe understatement. I hope his family and everyone who knew him personally can find peace somehow.
I’ve been frustrated with Rose recently and have been complaining up a storm about her 2012 changes, but I think I’m going to take a page out of his book and stop complaining and realize that I started playing Rose because I love her as a character, not because of how good she was. I think I’m going to put Cammy on the backburner for now and put some hard time into leveling up my Rose. I’ll be studying videos of his Rose, too.
Hopefully SRK will put something up on the front page for him with videos of his matches. He really was a great member of this community. Even if the normal front page troll may not care, they’ll at least get a chance to see some good Rose action.
It’s hard to believe. But, it takes only a few seconds for you to be gone. I saw him on MSN like few days ago. 7 years of knowing him from another community before he moved to SRK.
I really still hope this is just one big troll and he’ll come on here and be like “WTF? I’m not dead!” I mean a lotta people will be pissed off but I’d rather deal with that than this
I ran into him a couple times in Ranked Matches. He was very skilled, I never stood a chance. I’ve seen him on a Sp00ky stream(I think it was at a Guard Crush). I remember thinking how young he looked. It’s a real shame he’s gone. Rest in Peace.
RIP sksksksksk222 I talked to you many times in the PJay chat and you helped me out on the Rose match up immensely. The community as a whole would benefit infinitely if players had 1/1000th the mentality and passion that you did.
Sksk was a really good Tatsunoko vs Capcom player back in the heyday when we used to gather at Capcom Unity’s Meebo chat. I learned a lot from him and will always remember him as one the first competent Doronjo players I had the pleasure of facing. Sksk, your TvC pals will sorely miss you.
I know but not to sound harsh but that’s just how life is…
Edit: sorry I’m at work so trying to finish this is tough but to further add some of us don’t want it to sink in because we don’t want to let him go.
@Nissan no need to be angry man I would rather think of the good times people had actually meeting him, playing him, chatting with him that is a billion times better than stressing about bs in the front page.
Dude… How depressing…I met him on Street Fighter Online when I was 11 years old [ 18 now ] and we’ve been friends since. This is truly depressing… R.I.P Josh, wish I could do so much more…
This, man that online flash game really sucked. But back then the community was such a cool environment, it was like a completely second home that was in your PC screen. Met way too many cool people through that game.
I remember at capcom fightclub when I got my pic with yipes and me + my friend was about to get in we saw josh on the line across the street, we tried so hard to get him and his friends across the street so he can get in with us on time instead of having to wait till 9 to play 1 game lol. Good times.
this is so heartbreaking to hear man, he was such a nice person and a really solid player.
he was one of the few people that supported my online tourneys when I ran them, and he’d advertise them and let people know about them as much as he could. Plus he was always giving ideas and suggestions on how to improve and get more people interested, and gave me many pointers to level up when we played.
RIP JC, no one deserves to die that young, especially someone as polite and smart as him.
I’ll miss seeing you around man, my prayers are with you and your family ;(
