Really need to test it I guess, s.RH comes out pretty fast (faster than c.fp & s.fp I think? Way less recovery) but have to be really close otherwise it becomes the long poke. Need a little bit practice on timing if use as a on reaction AA, if you kick too soon you will get the wrong kick and open to combo. If it have better priority than s.mp, then it will become pretty sweet AA. It hits the hardest out of all Rose’s normals BTW.

I find it helps alot if you modify which version you use. If they like to attack really late, jab throw can be a pretty good option, if they attack early, the fierce one works well. At least that’s my experience.
I think I ONLY use it in combos >> Even if I see a FA, I’m more likely to try to throw.
The jab one is good, imo. Its niiiiice… and… slooooow. You can use it well to tick people getting up, and to set up a few other cool tricks (with FA cancels, or your super). The fierce one is simply terrible, I’ll agree on that. And you should combo into soul drill!
I do wish it was just a BIT faster. Especially against guile, its a nightmare to try to use.
For me at least, I find myself often using her slide to go under jump attacks, and then going for a throw when they totally whiff. Maybe I’m not good enough and not fighting good enough people, but it works pretty damn well. Also, I’m not pretending its great, but I really do think you’re really underestimating the soul throw. Its not freebee AA like some moves, but its useful against some characters.
Gotta agree; unless the opponent whiffs an ultra or does something stupid (like tatsu’ing from across the screen, say) its pretty hard to use. I have one cool trick that works against alot of 'giefs… jab.soul spark xx fadc, ultra when they lariat the spark.
About her super, I actually like it over most of her EX moves. Bait someone into FA’ing or jumping over a jab spark at max range, and you can usually get them to eat it for free (timing dependant of course).
her slide is seriously awesome. slide at max range, then s.mk when they try to punish… Etc.
I would say slide is a good move but not to be abused. I mostly use it from max range because even though it’s stated that it is punishable I have yet to ever be punished for doing it unless I hit a button after a blocked slide. Is Drill punishable too cause I have only been punished for doing it really close (and that’s usually an accident) because if I do it from close to tip through tip range I can back dash away from normals and close specials.

How many people from here that use Rose in SFIV actually get punished for doing a tip range (or close to tip range) Drill get punished for doing so (by any attack)?
from what I’ve seen, a true max range is ‘effectively safe’. Some people can punish it, but its really few frames, and if spaced properly really long range. The problem I have with it, is that theres stuff that just beats it, if they see it coming.
IMO you don’t even “see” the slide coming unless you do in some type of patter (i.e., c.sk,c.sk,c.sk, slide). I’ll see what kind success I have offline with my tactics lol.
