is low jab link to low strong only on counterhit? because i can’t link it at all and i’m no stranger to 1 frame links. i’ve been sitting here for like half an hour and haven’t got it a single time.

After a blocked drill(short) guile can flash kick.

Zangief can spin cycle(i think it was the punch version) the ultra.

That’s why you throw a fireball first and catch him while hes spinning through the fireball.

You can also swap in Hp soul reflect for Soul Spiral and by delaying the super just slightly you can do the same damage and put some distance between you and the other fighter.

Why are you guys so fixated on super cancelling soul reflect? I just wanna know.

It’s not very hard to do so I wouldn’t call it a fixation. The mp. soul reflect is even easier to cancel into her super.

I guess I meant it in the sense that it dies less damage than her drill, so why bother? It’s not like the drill combo is hard, so what’s the point of learning a combo that does less?

I’ve tested it, the damage isn’t really very different, and it puts mort distance between yourself and your opponent.

That said, in actual matches I really only use the drill cancel.

I forgot this combo was in the hard trials.

I have to go test it again. I wonder how hard the timing is. I just find it weird they have like the same trial except one requires you to charge the FA to level 2 and crumple before Ultra.

Very hard to pull off, but it can be done.

I was messing with it last night with c.mp into that combo. It seems like you need to have a little distance between you and the opponent when the c.mp hits. Not max range, but not too close either. I do think that learning it will make your Rose that much more versatile/scary if you have the threat of an anti-ait ultra as well as being able to hit comfirm it off a low hit(c.mk).

That’s it, alright. I played around with this a bit and it looks like the decisive factor is how long the spark takes to hit your opponent, which is affected by your distance from them.

What you need is for the spark to hit at the last possible moment that it can’t be blocked, giving you enough time to FADC and ultra before they recover from the spark. But it’s possible to be too far away and have the spark get blocked so you have to watch out for that, too. Once I knew that distance was the key, I was actually able to pull off a few of these in a row in training.

So it’s possible to do at will and you’ve got a little time to decide if the distance is right before committing to it, but still a pretty tough combo.
