Anyways weird shit again I stopped balrogs ultra this morning with fucking jabs :lol: dude knocked me down I had no health literally I went for ex drill on wakeup get baited into ultra the first hit would have killed from chip had I tried to block but I scrubbed out and mashed on jab and to my surprise jab straight stuffed his ultra for the win :lol:
I had the same thing happen to me, except I jabbed Gief out of his ultra. Afterwards we both kinda stood there stupified for a moment before we went back to fighting.
Yeah it ended up winning me the match but I was the one that ended up yelling in awe when it worked. I don’t know what made me decide to mash on jab at that moment but it saved my ass I’m going to test some shit tonight against certain things so ill keep everyone updated

Oh what the hell? Today I was knocked out of Rose’s ultra by Blanka’s horizontal ball. Albeit he was pretty close when I activated it, but man that sucked. I could understand if it was an EX ball but it wasn’t.

point plank range i was knocked down he was right next to me whiffing jab i ex’d drill he activaated ultra causing drill to whiff i crouch and jab twice for the win.
Never mind apparently if balrog holds kicks on his ultra hell do all uppercuts the catch is the first four hits don’t reach low while the fifth does. Given this truth my friend was probably thinking I would jump out allowing me to safely land my lows. Never noticed that before. But I guess to make the statement totally true his uppers on super and ultra can be dodged low and attacked BUT he can vary the attack reps between straight punch and upper so pay attention

Not sure if this has been mentioned here or not but I’ll mention it anyway(it’s nothing big really). Today I was playing a Sagat and he was on the left side somewhat close to the corner and started to FA I immediately did my FA, he stopped his at lvl 2 charge which my FA absorbed, my FA then hit him it sent him flying towards the corner I FA dashed forward & used Ultra. I didn’t think it was gonna work but it actually got him. Anyway the FA trade off rarely happens(or not to me atleast) but if your near a corner the ultra will work apperently.
Lvl 2 anti air fa dash forward ultra also works midscreen as well its old but its there.
He didnt crumple but he flew, so the FA hit him in the air then? Ultra on crumple iw easy, but ultra as juggle? Dont think that is actually possible, it doesnt juggle at all afaik. So maybe he didnt block on landing?

Different juggle state. Just like after some uppercuts you can juggle with anything, after some moves you can only juggle with super, etc. Focus Attacks are system-wide and not really character specific, they do the same thing for every character and just have different animations.
You can tell that it’s a different juggle state in this case by just looking at the opponent’s character, spinning around backwards. It doesn’t make logical sense that you can ultra somebody in the air in one spot and not in another, but that’s just how the rules of the game are.
If Rose could juggle with an ultra after a reflect, she’d be a LOT better. I mean like…wow good. Most characters can’t just meterless special move > juggle into full hits guaranteed ultra.
Still… they let Ryu and Sagat do an easy Ultra after any anti-air 
Yesterday I got hit by Sagat’s anti-air kick, juggled to another kick, juggled with EX FB. I mean c’mon? Why cant Rose then get ANY juggle except into super or EX FB (which only seems to work in corner without FADC anyway)
