Rollie Electronics - Rollie Translucent Pushbuttons 24mm or 30mm $1.00 each

Now do you mean the Spring is tighter or the Box/Gate area is tighter?

This is true, but like I said you need either a S-Plate or shaft extender for the LS-32, not the LS-32-01. Because the LS-32-01 usually ships with a S-Plate is the reason’s that I mention and pictured the LS-32 and not the LS-32-01. So what I was saying is that the Rollie OG is much like a LS-32, and you would need a s-plate or shaft extender, because the shaft length is fairly the same length as the LS-32.

On a added note… I would recommend a S-plate because it would not mess with the length of the shaft which could change the feel of the stick.

True the s-plate is stock for the LS-32-01, but the flat plate is more commonly stock for the LS-32 because it is commonly used in arcade cabs that just have flat metal control panels to bolt to. These plates can also be used in wood boxes, as long as the wood panel (or routed out part) is thin enough.

Again the LS-32 not the LS-32-01 is more commonly used in arcade cabs (our roots), not arcade sticks. So a flat plate would mount better in these most the time. Also the 8 pin connectors fit most arcade cab wiring setups, where a 5 wire would require modding.

The box/gate area.

Yeah that has a much tighter area, you should give it try and see how you like it.

@punkpc
hate jlf, like ls40, love ls32. if youve tried an ls40, is the throw on the rollie as small as the ls40? ive found it to be a little too small for me for some games, and im interested in trying the rollie. thanks.

The lack of an S plate for it makes it a hard purchase though. I could put it in my plexi stick but I rarely actually play on that one.

I have not got a chance to try a LS-40 yet, but been thinking of trying one out. If I do I will add the comparison.

I am currently looking into this for myself as well… I will keep you updated.

Does anyone here know if the Rollie buttons have the same size art inserts as Seimitsu buttons? I know people use a nickle to trade for the seimitsu art, and it looks to just about match up with this button I have here, but reassurance is always nice…

Any way we could get screw in buttons Ponyboy?

I second this. It would be very nice if you can perhaps get some screw ins in your inventory Mr.Pipp.

Here is the Seimitsu screw-ins (PS-14-KN) next to a Rollie Translucent snap-ins (BTN-T30)…

The Rollie button is about .2 of a mm smaller then a Seimitsu button.

I have used Nether’s button covers and they do work.

They fit pretty well. I had to have them slightly off center so that they would fit correctly, but they still look great.

For those of you using Art’s Artwork Prints and button Cutouts. You would have to cut them down a bit to work. Which is pretty easy.

What make/model are the microswitches in the Rollie OG?

I think Rollie’s microswitches are an original design.

If you don’t like them, you can at least swap those Rollie microswitches for Sanwa SW-68 (which is what I would do with at least 2 of the Seimitsu button lines I’ve bought)… ponyboy sells those on the Rollie Electronics website along with the Rollie buttons.

I’m liking how some of this stuff looks and I’ve read or talked to other people that have rooted for these buttons.
I know I’m going to get at least some of his Pearls when I have the money.

They are stock Rollie microswitches.

You are correct

True, the SW-68 drop right in easily, But I personal like the feel of the stock microswitches.

You should defiantly check them out, and the pearls are sweet. I’m going to be using some of the pearls in the LED mod I am working on.

I meant in the joystick.

Sorry took so long to reply…

These appear to be a original design microswitch as well.

bumped in the hopes Mr. Pipp reads this. Its been over a week and my package still has NOT arrived. And it also seems that Mr. Pipp is ignoring any and all emails he has received…wtf? answers please dear sir.

Pipp’s a good guy. I’ve bought stuff from him before and it has always come…perhaps it’s just taking longer this time?

For me it seems like he runs out of stock on something just as I order. Because around the time Chinese New Year came, it delayed my order for pearl buttons by about a month. With that said, a package appears at my doorstep eventually.

i know the dude is trustworthy, ive ordered from him countless other times back when he was selling Official sanwa and iL products without any problem. Its just now hes hella idle and shit…Ill give him some more time. Otherwise im going to have to file a report with paypal.

EDIT:
He has replied back. Everything is all good.

Got my parts order in the mail a couple of days ago. I bought a Rollie OG stick, 8 clear 30mm snap-ins, and 3 clear 24mm snap-ins. I really like the feel of the parts.

[LIST]
[]OG Stick - Feels great. I’d say it’s a bit stiffer than the JLF I used a while back, which is a good thing.
[
]Snap-in buttons - Initially, I was gonna swap the microswitches, but the stock ones feel fine already.
[]Good communication and quick shipping
[
]Price can’t be beat - $15.95 for a stick, $2.25 per 30mm button, and $2.00 per 24 mm button

Very satisfied with my order, would definitely recommend the Rollie parts. :woot:

Any chance of stocking neutrik adapters? I am in need of an neutrik RJ45 for my stick build, and right now the only place I can find them is LL but shipping is $5.95 for a $10 part.

With shipping,

I try to order parts in quantity that make it worth my penny.

I actually ended up ordering RJ-45 feedthroughs from Lizard Lick instead of Amazon because of Amazon’s insanely stupid shipping charges! I was getting charged something like $9-$10 shipping for studs and 2 RJ-45 feedthroughs!! That’s small fry stuff that generally should cost $5-$5.25 tops to ship. Large businesses get breaks on shipping and there’s no way that Amazon should be so stingy on small orders.

(I ended getting only the studs in the end simply because that variety is hard to find and I need them now for a modded faceplate… and two potential future case mods. After a slight discount – given to me because of Amazon’s inability to close an account when I asked them to in December(!), the studs cost around $5 with shipping… I was charged only for shipping since the “gift” from Amazon paid for the studs themselves. Sometimes complaining to customer service gets results – and I was only looking to close an account — not get money from Amazon.)

As it is, it’s hard to find the black RJ-45 feedthrough in stock and it’s generally more expensive — even on discount.

I said to heck with it and just got 2 RJ’s (black and silver) with an MC Cthulu from LizardLick…

There’s a very good chance I WILL order from Rollie because of the pricing and availability of some Pearl colors you just can’t find in the Seimitsu Pearls any more… The transparent buttons are tempting too as I have two potential projects in the wings (when I can afford the cases!) that WOULD require transparent buttons.
