I thought rolento couldn’t anti air it but there’s actually a sweet spot where he can actually anti air dudley jump hk
I managed to anti air it with a well timed mp, and I believe if he jumps too close to you, you can anti air or at least trade with close hk. rolentos close hk has a different hitbox from his far hk even though they look the same his close hk covers his whole body almost
I think a trade is still better than letting dudley get in considering he basically wins the game for free once he gets in on you
also you can anti air it with ultra 2, I imagine a well predicted roll could anti air it, if he’s too close to you when he jumps then you can use close hp
try not to be too stationary, rolento’s backdash really sucks but his forward dash is great so if dudley gets too close to you and jumps I imagine you can dash under him since his jump hk doesn’t hit crossup and his other normals require him to be lower to the ground

hmm been wondering about this does it mean the back roll is now hit invisible and from when or just the follow up if so whats the earliest opportunity to do so? could sorta help with his wake up even if it is punishable
At least his AA got buffed back to 90% of what it was. Curious to see how the new roll is going to work…
The change to regular roll means we can do Roll xx RFC without having to worry about it being a counter hit and whiffing.
Does the EX Roll then just knock down and will no longer Juggle at all? If that’s the case, then the damage is going to be poor.
The way I understand it is when you hit an opponent who is in the air it just knocks them down and doesn’t carry out the rest of the hits for full damage which would definitely suck. I don’t understand the ex back roll change either until I see it in action.
Will normal forward roll xx RF actually hit on just +2 advantage? I still think I’d rather a knockdown but at least our anti air will be usable
the change on the roll from knockdown to hitstun seems like a good idea. on counter hit rolento can do regular fadc into st. hk and combo for damage. the movement forward on ex patriot circle seems good too. it reaches just outside of st. hp so u can probablt use it to whiff punish into follow up like ultra
oh and for the invincibility on the roll seems like a good idea! he can no longer be option selected on wake up since youre invincible and its a good way to distance yourself from the enemy as well. (unless youre cornered of course) havent tested everything out but if i find anything good ill post up

Anyone else notice when you do a forward throw facing the corner with OMEGA Rolento, and follow it up with a Mekong Delta Escape (can delay it slightly) he hops off an invisible wall nearly right in front of the opponent?
This puts you in the corner, and allows you to do a pogo mix-up.

Yes the extension to EX Patriot Circle is good. It is quite a decent buff surprisingly. You can do EX Stinger to EX Patriot at a good distance.
Also can be used a decent long range punisher. Perhaps combo to U
It is a good option for certain situation.
St. MP buff is probably the best though. Good stuff here. More usable with these changes.
Not sure if anybody has mentioned this yet but the EX Patriot Circle buff has made it so that you can reset with cl.HP after it mid-screen instead of only in the corner. Haven’t tested it extensively but it looks like it’ll work on most characters.
I heard that nemo said Rolento is now top 5, I haven’t be able to play since 1.04 came out, so do you think this is possible ?

He sure isn’t low or mid/low tier anymore though. At least mid.
EX Patriot I surprised it goes so far as it does. Good stuff. I tested it before and after patch.
Alot more possiblities with this one.
Add with gigglepies mention and you got a real solid buff in this one.
I have a hard time seeing Rolento as top 5. Ask yourself if he’s better than Yun, Ibuki, E. Ryu, C. Viper, Adon, Poison, and Yang.
