Surprised there’s no KoF or Marvel. Everyone is going to be garbage at SFxT and we’ll all get to have a chance at getting blown up by RyRy.
Hey guys. I’m out of town tomorrow. It was good being back last week. I’ll be grinding on SFxTK next week of course.
Any Lynchburg area Players?
Yeah was good to see you back. Didn’t get to mop you in sf4 though. I’m looking forward to trying out sfxt whenever someone brings it in but as of right now it is not gonna be a purchase for me day one.
I got it on pre-order so I’ll be sure to bring it by on Thursday.
Also good to see you again John.
Hey, were going to be hanging out tomorrow at my place. Playing some KOF/SF4 and watching the FINAL ROUND stream. Everyone is welcome to come. Hit me up if you need directions :).
I think I might come by. What time is everyone showing up? I’m interested in watching the stream a little, but while playing
Around 5ish, no set time really.
Alright. I might leave pretty early (Around 8 or 9) because of work.
Ugh, something came up and I won’t be able to make it out tonight. I’d be able to make Saturdays more often so I can stay later
They’re not running SFxT? Bold
hmm I’ll see if I can come out to that.
Well we can just bring our copies of SFxT and ask people as they come in to register if they want to do a SFxT tournament.
Anyone have an old school corded 360 controller they’d like to donate to my Hitbox project? I was going to use my old Hori EX2 pcb, but 3 button connections were shorted out on it(not from this project) so it wont work. I tested it to make sure, but I talked to James and he said a 360 controller is also usable, but I dont have one and hey’re hard to find.
So if any of you feel like you can part with one that would be amazing :).
I’m liking SFxT right now. Combos are flashy and satisfying since execution is pretty easy. Sadly, easy execution usually means that I’ll probably get bored with it unless the higher level play is actually high level. Note to anyone trying to learn the game: for the first time ever in a capcom game… throwing is bad. Except for MAYBE command throws, but even those are used very sparingly.
I like SFxTK a lot. I’ve been figuring out combos and once I got in the lab with it started to make a lot more sense other than just, “play Vega win game”. The guide is solid too. Clockwork did it, so it’s full of solid info.
Yeah I’m thinking about picking up the guide myself. Learning the Tekken characters is such a different ball game. Right now I have Nina and Cammy (Cammy being my SF4 main), but I’m going to try out more like Jin and Juri in the coming days. I really like Ninas stuff, but it seems like she lacks the overheads of the others, as if she plays more like an SF character. Not necessarily a bad thing, just odd.
I really like this game, I want to learn Jin and Ogre, but they play so differently from sf characters, its taking a while.
