i remember when street fighter first started they said they had to have capcom look at the story before they fucked with it. I bet its the same with rey so if its different blame capcom.

Nothing wrong with following the pre-retcon story. It’s not like their take on SF didn’t take liberties either. Shadow Charlie, Sakura under Ryu’s tutelage, and Ryu seeing Gouken dead (rather than Ken seeing it) being the most prominent examples that I can recall.

UDON’s version of SF takes in present day though, rather then the 80s-90s like Capcom version, and RS takes place in UDON’s modern day SF timeline too, so if need be they can do whatever sorts of crossing over they want without worrying.
people might wanna take udons universe as more of a what if…it still relies heavily on the capcom universe but also takes liberties for the stories to be continous…as a logn continous story sf might not make sense. Its like how a movie is adapted from a comic…to make sense in the real world they have to take some liberties without losing the true essence of what it is.
Atleast there are some people here who want to check out the comic than just complain.

Its pretty cool here, we get an experience most don’t . We have the artist/writer and prez of udon on our board. We actually get to complain to him and have him hear us. In such an open forum. Most people don’t have that kind of advantage so i think this is pretty badass of them to be willing to do that.
In the mean time imma go read up more on rival schools cuz i didn’t really play that game when i was younger. it sounds interesting.
