Rising Thunder - FIGHTING ROBOTS

Ok Joytokey works. Right click it->Run as admin.

you can also try xpadder there is a freeware version out there

it may have already been posted but if not…
This guy loses his SH*T over a Rising Thunder loss HARD!!! lol

Love the game so far, but I really wish they’d do something about the matchmaking to help out newer players. I’m still in bronze rank, but I’m getting matched up with nothing but Diamond and Master ranked player. It doesn’t really bother me personally, but I’m sure there’s some new players out there that would uninstall if they had to play high ranked players like Hungbee and Snake Eyez one right after the other.

Feels really nice actually! I’m glad this game’s netcode doesn’t live in the stone age like most fighting games.

What’s different about ggpo 3 compared to the older versions anyway?

Got an email from Rising Thunder saying I got two additional registration codes for being one of the first to sign up for the Alpha. I gave them to my friends, one of them reported back to me saying it crashes on boot. Any tips?

Also, is it weird that I was never given a code for my own account? I just got an email saying my account was ready and then went in and played. But apparently people here were waiting on codes.

Topkek. My favorite part was when he signed on to WoW to show us his uber 1337 Night Elf rouge.

Got to play the Alpha, have to say that the game is A LOT OF FUN!!! Some connections were meh, but the good ones were satisfying! Crow is a lot of fun, and dumb at the same time. His vortex is just superb.

I got on

First impression is really that… yeah, not actually that accessible for newbies… I think I like Fantasy Strike a lot more for “simple to execute” fighter that still feels like a full FG, but will give both more of a play and see how it goes. This definitely seemed ok too but Fantasy Strike felt natural and like a proper fighting game within 2 matches for me, whereas this feels like I need hours and hours to get used to it’s oddness with the feel of the physics, the cooldowns, loadouts and figuring out a button config that feels natural on a stick (I can’t play anything on keyboards well) - and figuring out which of the mental potential combos are actually worth it.

I should mentioned the netcode seems REALLY great though! Shame the bug means I never get to finish most of my matches, I just get the first game, then the "waiting… " thing so I’ll be stuck at Carbon tier forever

I don’t quite understand the appeal if you already have decent execution… like, it’s pretty much SF4 with easier execution, so if execution is not a problem why not just play sf4 instead?

For those that are more visual learners re: joy2key and 2-button throws/supers: http://imgur.com/a/L9eyW

Is there any gentleman in here in dire need of a key?
Still have a spare one I could offer.

I’m on Windows 10 x64 and I can’t play using my stick using Xpadder or Joy2Key. Already tried Admin mode.

EDIT: My Xbox MCZ seems to work, but not the PS3 one.

Do you get more meter on hit than block? That would make DED-style OS’s really easy and very dangerous. Basically you just plink your normals with super during pressure strings and as soon as you build enough meter (ie. if the opponent gets hit instead of blocking) you combo into super automatically.

Even without DED, doing normals into specials/super during footsies is really easy…

Is there a way to map the throw button to two buttons? I’m not used to having a dedicated throw button, so I forget that I have it.

It does take some getting used to. I’m pretty sure there are no macros right now iirc unfortunately. But is is Alpha maybe they’ll add some.

I didn’t know how to do the super & throw until someone told me…I have a 6 button stick. Have to use select & start

As for applying the button bind in-game, no this isn’t implemented. They haven’t got a button bind yet for “Escape” and “Enter” inputs either, so you can’t reset training mode or open up the training mode menu in-game using a joystick.

Got into the alpha and a few days later the devs gave me two codes to hand out so here yall go. Have fun!

First impressions: This game is fun, and this is only alpha. I like that every character speaks their native language, something that I missed in games since Punch Out Wii. So far, I’ve been using Talos and the boxer (forgot the name). I love Talos’ sparta kick. Can you follow up the air grab with anything else?

I fought a lot of Crow players…is he the current top tier or what?
