There’s a PS1 Inuyasha fighting game that basically plays like this. Only diff is that it has a dedicated special move button kind of like smash. It was really fun and some random things in it. need to see if I still have the disk.

Not sure who else is playing, but hopefully I’ll run into some of you online (same name). I’m trying to pick up Talos and learn to be a little more fluid with him. I played a few games earlier with my shitty bluetooth chiclet keyboard and it was an awful experience (maybe input lag, but for whatever reason crossups ate me up), but now I’ve finally found a pad (XBone) that’ll work and it’s much more enjoyable. My PS3/PS4 TE2 will not cooperate, but whatever, it only requires button presses instead of inputs so pad is fine.
I’m having fun with it so far. I can see a lot of people giving this a try since it’s so easy to pick up.
I was watching the stream and I noticed some things. The cooldown on projectiles are short. Almost the same amount of time that recovery frames take, so cooldowns shouldn’t be an issue for zoning. Chel’s reversal have a little more cooldown, but it seems you can combo after it, so cooldown doesn’t matter much here… as long you don’t whiff, or the opponent blocks it. The only case that cooldown seems to be bad is on Talo’s command grabs. The cooldown is big enough that you can’t grab, dash foward and try to use the same command grab on your opponent’s wake up.
Speaking of Talos, that’s not his only problem. His damage doesn’t seem to be big enough, he seems floaty as hell and seems to need a way to deal with projectiles.
Of course, I only watched an hour, so I can be wrong. This is just the first impressions of someone that just watched some matches.
Talos can do a TON of damage. People are only doing Day 1 combos right now. He’s a monster.
I figured it might be you, good game man. Talos f.H is so strong, didn’t realize he could link into it after other normals like that. Still trying to figure out some bigger combos for Edge.

I’ll admit the only time I’ve ever anti-aired with normals was with Q in 3s.
Currently unable to get a MadCatz TE2 to register in game, as well as a Hori Pro 4 Kai. However I can get a Xbox360 controller to register and bind buttons. Any having a similar issue?

Thanks, also I saw another Edge player doing some kind of turnaround punch to cross up in the air, but I can’t figure out what the command is. Still can’t find an actual crossup for him, but I’m pretty sure I’m just fucking up and getting too salty to see the answer.
EDIT: caught you on stream, so salty over HOUR one technical alpha that I thought I already tried that and wasn’t getting it lol. This is why I don’t go to tournaments anymore.
