Hehehe, thanks bro
I’m in disbelief right now, it hasn’t been long since I started to really listen to his music, RIP
I need to get on the movie Labyrinth, I remember very little I think I never watched it in its entirety
The internet has been totally lit up with Bowie love today.
What makes me sad is, where was this yesterday? Why can’t people who are so well loved be made aware of it before they pass?
Eh, he wasn’t exactly some starving artist who only made money after dieing, the love was always there and there is no way he wouldn’t have been aware of it considering that it’s pretty much what a singer’s career lives and dies by.
Besides no-one knew he was dieing so a sort of big farewell and thank-you from the world shortly before his death was kind of impossible.
Yeah, I know.
But still, doesn’t it always seem such a shame that the difference in someone ever getting to see it is almost always just a handful of hours
I don’t think Bowie had any doubt about how well loved he was. People take for granted a lot of great things people do and become complacent in their appreciation of that. When it gets taken away they’re a lot more apt to express how much they’re going to miss it. The guy has an amazing legacy and that’s not going anywhere.
My wife and i had that conversation. Trying to figure out when the younger gens were going to rediscover Bowie. There are some bands/artist that feel somewhat forgotten or taken for granted. Whats the world gonna feel like when Pete Townsend dies? He used to kick it with Bowie in the early days, as insane as it sounds for that much talent to just talk songwriting over cigarrretes.
Doesnt even need to be white artist. How long is the James Brown sound going to stay out of the loop? Doo Wop, blues, reggae or some kids really understanding that jazz was the music of the ghetto?
I kinda wish we spent a little less time putting the spotlight on how terrible we are to each other so we could remember how much we excel at beauty.

so ironic that blackstar just came out recently and leaves it as a beautiful parting gift to all his fans.
kojima apparently has excellent taste in music and film.
RIP ya alien…
Awful fucking news.
RIP
Damn. Love his music and Labyrinth was one of my favorite childhood movies. RIP.
so sad
Loved “1984”, “Labyrinth”, “Young Americans”, and “Under Pressure” with Freddie Mercury. 2016 is giving us a huge “fuck you” with Lemmy’s passing and now Bowie. Damn…
Edit: “Little China Girl” was dope, too.
Never was big in Bowie. Liked a few songs, but I didn’t really go in on his tracks, or went out of my way to search for his stuff. Sucks he’s dead though, his new stuff is pretty fucking trippy music video wise.
First it was Scott Weiland, then Lemmy and now David Bowie, sad to see such legends pass away
Yeah, why couldn’t it be the guys in your av to be the ones to go.
This cover of “Space Oddity” by an astronaut was recorded on the International Space Station:
