RIP David Bowie

And this isno doubt one of my favorite Christmas songs.

I don’t know of we’ll ever have a musician as grand as Bowie ever again. That is really goddamn depressing.

Irreplaceable.

this is legitimately sad to hear, right around the release of his new album too. Cancer really gets me upset now, since my uncle passed away last year on christmas.

well, RIP bowie.

I loved his songs like - Ziggy stardust, Man who sold the world, Rebel Rebel, Life on Mars

Since he was so secretive about his private life I sort of assumed he’d outlive most of us… but the Blackstar was calling its preacher home. Someday somebody will be inspired by his gospel and we’ll see a new kind of artist, not better but different. Creativity is in constant rebirth. This is not the end.

He would have made a perfect Sephiroth if they ever made a live action Final Fantasy VII.

What a legend

RIP

Haven’t heard much of his stuff, but Man Who Sold The World is legit. That Labyrinth movie he was in was classic, too.

Welp, this fucking sucks.
I was really hoping that it was a hoax when i wake up today.

R.I.P., today the music world has lost one of his pillars.

Damn. I mainly know him from Labyrinth but I always liked the rest of his music I came across, *Space Odyssey * and Under Pressure were my jams.

RIP

Lost a legend here. Actor, musician, I admired him in so many aspects of his life. Losing a musician always hurts a bit, but losing a legend is always hard.

Gonna throw on Labyrinth some time today.

A God in music, now forever A legend.

RIP Bowie. I’m not surprised it was cancer, dude smoked like a chimney and I guess even had all his teeth replaced because of it. He was one of those artists that I didn’t get into immediately, I really had to dig deep, but once I did… I have to credit his Earthling album with being the first electronic music I really got into. And Diamond Dogs…hell of a record! I have Low on right now, but that one will have to be next.

Funny Bowie story…a buddy of mine was one of the studio assistants while Bowie was recording the Heathen album. Apparently at the time, he was trying to quit smoking, but every now and again, he’d sneak off (the studio was this huge manor on a hill in eastern upstate NY so there were a lot of places to hide out) and smoke. His wife Iman was trying to keep tabs on him to keep him on the straight and narrow, and from what my buddy said, her looking around for him and yelling “DAVID!! ARE YOU SMOKING AGAIN???” became a fairly regular thing.

Not only was Bowie great in his own right, he inspired a lot of other great artists. Venture Bros. wouldn’t be the same with out him. RIP Major Tom.

i know hes mostly known as the Goblin King in the Labyrinth.

But he also played amazing Tesla in the Prestige with Wolverine and Batman.

Fixed there for you, otherwise that shit sounds mad young.

At least I had the chance to meet him a few times, RIP.
