Update on my info:
Though I am often seen at Sonichuman’s place(WE JUST PLAY GAMES, NOTHING ELSE), I actually don’t live in the fan(anymore). I live near the corner of Forest Hill and Westover Hills. I play SF4 with Billy once every week or so. I just got home from his place an hour ago. We played about 15 matches. All but one was his victory, but the last one was mine and the last match is all that matters so I’m better than him fuck what you heard dipset.
I’m off on Sundays so if anyone wants to do something then hit me up(804-687-0395). Only problem is I ain’t got a car so I need you to scoop my ass.
About the Thursday meet up, Sonichuman and I should be able to make it there around 10pm…
And if anyone of you have an SNES and TMNT:TF… BRING IT.
You can test them out on me. I have SF4 on 360 and accept all friend requests.
I used to be really into Tekken starting from when T5 came out until some time in 2007 I think. My enthusiasm for Tekken fell hard. I imagine now that if anyone from the Richmond Tekken scene saw me again I’d get a bad look or something. But I can still be bothered to play T5DR if it’s no skin off my back.
I hadn’t been to VCC in a long time so I wasn’t aware of this. The last time I was there, all of the fighting games were moved to the back.

i also play tekken…id even dare to say that im better at tekken than street fighter…i cant count how many tekken 4 tournaments ive won…and i won one tekken 5 tourney…oh but that was a long time ago

ID4 sucks ass compared to 3. Wangan Midnight is okay, Supra is too top tier though.
Same here. The main reason I started playing Tekken is because the availability of more competition, at least for me, since everyone I knew played Tekken but didn’t play Third Strike. Plus, there are actually Tekken cabs in Richmond.
What? where are these mysterious cabs at?

i live near chesterfield airport, but can’t host anything at this time. I can help out by bringing a PS3 to local gatherings or events. i used to play tekken a lot, but stopped playing around the time DR came out. i still enjoy TTT.
Well at the time VCC still had theirs. South Park Mall had one too.
I know south park has a machine. I haven’t been to VCC in years, maybe that’s why I haven’t seen one

Drizzle, with regard to Sunday, I really want to do something, but a friend of mine is having a party and there’s people I know from out of town coming so I’m probably gonna do that. Don’t let that stop you from hosting something though. Sunday’s are usually pretty good for me.
True, but to be honest, I don’t ever remember you ever explaining to me what I did wrong either. Other than “don’t guess parry” and I’m sorry, but when you play Sean, NOT parrying isn’t an option. I got better at 3s, mostly due to online, but it fucked up my offline timing, that’s why I don’t wanna play IV online.
First of all, I will never accept “that character sucks and can never win” as a reason not to pick them. I’m not gonna let tiers determine how I play a game, that’s just stupid, how can I have fun if I have to use a character I can’t stand?
Also, I didn’t lose to Hoan repeatedly because I wasn’t learning from what he was doing, I was losing because he would find whatever it was he could do that I literally didn’t have the reaction time to deal with, and just keep doing it. It wasn’t that I didn’t know how to combat it, it was that I was physically incapable of doing so. I have a 14 frame reaction time, that’s based on scientific evidence. If you know a way to improve the electrical signals from my optical nerves, to my brain, and back down to my hands please tell me. Every match I’ve ever won in any game has purely been the result of guessing or determining my opponent’s patterns. My execution has improved, especially in 3s, but my reaction time hasn’t. Of course game knowledge helps too, like once you learn what you can and can not punish but I truly do have hideous reaction time and that’s why I lose. It isn’t because I’m too stupid to figure out how I’m getting beat and keep falling for the same tactics.
That’s bullshit, why would you assume I’m not gonna listen to you? It’s also a lie, I’ll take advice, but somehow the best advice Hoan and to some degree Robin was ever able to give was “get better.” Well that’s useless. I’m not the kind of person who can read text like on a forum and figure out how to play a game, I have to see it in action, that’s why I want to play more often.
The second half of what you said would’ve been useful information too but I don’t recall you saying that. However, with Akuma for example, he could still Tatsumaki from that distance, there’s almost never a situation where someone can ONLY do one type of attack, and if someone is in that situation, they’re playing horribly by taking away their own mixup game. Also the oldest trick in the book in 3s is to stand far enough away that you make the opponent THINK all you can do is a low then dash in last minute. If I was wakeup blocking and someone did that, I’d get thrown for free. I don’t know how many frames dashes are, and I know it changes per character, but I’m pretty confident that I don’t have the reaction time to deal with that, best I could hope for is a tech throw, but then people start doing dash-in attacks. Fighting games ARE a guessing game, period, however the better your reaction time, the better your win ratio.
Also I don’t always forward parry, I’m quite capable of low parrying, and punishing correctly afterwords. I don’t always wake up parry either. I’m not a complete simpleton but for some reason you and everyone else seem to be painting that picture. If you guys have such low regard for me, then you’re really insulting everyone I’ve ever beaten. But that doesn’t matter, show up, you’ll see I can play fighting games.

Oh, I forgot, you’re always right and I’m always wrong, thereby the mere act of me disagreeing with you proves that. I’m sorry, it won’t happen again. Obviously if I HAD listened to your accusation that I don’t listen, I would’ve known it to be the truth and agreed with it.
Here’s why I have a problem with this: It’s not true. I’m one of the most open-minded people I know (sounds self-absorbed, and if you want to take it that way fine, I can’t convince you otherwise) I try to stay educated and be respectful of others opinions, I actually find it to be a blatant insult for you to say that “I don’t listen.” Try having a conversation/debate with me sometime I’m not the kind of person to argue or get heated, seriously. But it’s insulting, and not true, to insinuate that I don’t listen and/or am close-minded and to me, establishing the truth from untruth is incredibly important in my own personal value system.
Besides, you and I have NEVER had a beef before, why start now? From now on if you feel like teaching me something, then do it, don’t hold back because you made some incorrect assumption about me. I don’t care what we talk about, fighting games or anything, I’m gonna approach it the same way and I’m gonna be myself, if that’s the problem then I’m sorry you feel that way.

- VCC’s T5:DR cab was gone last i heard, the PAGG one on Southside was gone before i left…never bothered to check out South Park’s machine since they never had a scene after i moved up there (and yeah, i checked with all known SP players at one point or another via TZ’s outdated arcade finder [thx Mr. Wiz]).
