i’ve been playing Dan lately for fun and I lost a ton of PP lol. I guess it really doesn’t matter.
Anyway i beat this guy recently who played Dudley. He cross-countered me and then taunted me. I went off on him. Beat the fuck out of him and taunted every chance I got. I even pulled the taunt super on him into U2 for the chip win lol.
so I got this from Demonsonic16. The follow arguement followed…
Guy= “you really suck with dan. u been grabbing through the whole match”
I only grabbed like 6 times. So I had to say something.
Me= “you really suck with dudley. u been losing the whole match”
Guy= “wanna prove that in a re match then since ur tlking shit”
Me= “I would, but you started talking shit first. Don’t make criticisms about me before looking at yourself”
Guy= “im speaking the facts man if u think its insulting then go look at urself play at the replays and see whos the one with the truthful mouth”
Me= “lol you are a sad person. smh”
Guy= “i can see ur trying to avoid my point. fine be a little dick who acts like a pussy”
So I actually took the time to look at the replay. I threw 6 times and he mashed like a fucking maniac. He is truely a lame. So I called him out…
Me= “I took your advice and looked at the replay, and noticed that you mashed like a mad man. So you might wanna shut-up. Saikyo power bitch”

And no one knows the matchup, Im pretty sure no one has ever taken Dan to training mode to master playing against him. Dan is all outplaying and banking your opponent makes a mistake due to lack of knowledge of the matchup or has no clue what Dan can even do.
I never get hate mail even when I think I will , like beating an Abel with just HK Dank etc… I do feel scrubby after some of those matchups . I usuallyjust get wow your real good with Dan mail or SAIKYO alot. And some people on the mic are funny as hell when they are losing to Dan , the excuses never stop . Had some green bar guy the other day Kick me saying it was laggy and thats why he lost and kicked me .
Heh, could have just replied with “So?” Nothing wrong with throwing and if it’s that obvious then why wasn’t he teching it?
I’d like to think the better players know the matchup 
You shouldn’t really assume your opponent doesn’t know the matchup, that’ll get you in trouble but there’s no harm in testing the waters once or twice 
I was feeling a bit crusty last night after getting into a stupid argument with a friend, playing ranked I come across a Ken who I very quickly determine isn’t that good… so I decide to be an ass and beat him with only mk. Then I decide I’m not going to jump. Then I decide I’ll only use crouching medium kicks… oh, and random Ultras. All so I can send him a message gloating about it. Very out of character for me, bourbon makes me a mean sum’bitch.
The first round I’m beating him pretty solidly when I decided on my random Ultra rule. So he is at mid screen, blocking, PERFECT! Shissou Buraiken!!! Dan falls on his face, I lose a bit of life, I win the match. Next round my random Ultra costs me the victory. Third round, my random Ultra gets punished, AGAIN, losing patience with my little game I hop a fireball while buffering Super and chip him to death.
At this point I feel like a jerk for my little plan to send a humbling message and keep playing. Maybe an hour later when I’m done I check my messages as I normally do before powering down and I have a pending friend request, from that Ken it turns out, with a message saying "Awesome match!

Man did I feel like a heel. This guy is obviously new to the game, so much so that he couldn’t read what was going on, he’s enthusiastic about the game, just trying to have fun and meanwhile I’m being a salty douche.
well other than Pattybenpatty (who just friended me the other day)!, and a few others a long time ago, i get LOTS of hatemail about using dan ( i really hate when someone BARELY beats me and acts all cocky). But the true believers are appreciative

Right, the ironic thing was he was playing Hakan. In the words of Hakan, “seriously?” I’m a big Hakan fan myself but Dan and Hakan are as bad as each other really. I only wish I could take back that friendly message I sent him before, he only just won by fluking random BS and I did perfect him in the second round so…

I read it yesterday whilst sober and recognized it for what it was, or was supposed to be, mainly due to the “ping”.
I played a Cammy the other day, extremely on point with the IA dive kick pressure but not so hot with closing the distance nor keeping me out. A lot of time was spent with us staring at each other from full screen while I had a life lead. Afterwards I get a message saying what a boring match it was, my response was, of course, “Maybe if you did something exciting you would have won.”.
hahaha you’re so much calmer than i am, im always up to something. i dont get why some people will sit back for half the match after they’re on the losing end, and then complain.
but last night reminded me of an endless match a few weeks ago- i got a perfect, then almost another perfect, against the host- who then booted me after losing, sending me a message saying “no taunting”

i played a guy in endless for 7 games. I whooped his seth and akuma, and then beat his (6500BP) Bison 5 times in a row before he left.
I was going to send a simple “GG” but…well, Im a Dan main, and sometimes I cant help but take a jab 
so i saw his bio was the “infamous” “Bison tuesday” quote… i modifed it a bit :3

I sent it, thinkin nothing of it except maybe a lol and a gg?
Nope…he then proceeded to send me tons of messages about how im a scrub who only does “tick throws” (which I never did once…at least i though tick throws were things like jab -> grab, i just did things like knee to moves/grab/koryu, using a lot of st mp to knee) and how im such a scrub, and how hes better than me (even tho I beat him?) lol.
ANYWAY he said i suck, my 10000 BP doesnt mean anything, and his dan was better. I just laughed and said maybe his dan is better but his bison sure isnt lol.
He joined my endless. I played his Dan and worked him…lol. Just sent him a message saying “wow, you’re super good :o” didnt get anything after that.

Knee to throw is most definitely a tick throw, and a very good one, once you master the timing difference on the throw based on when the opponent blocks. Dan can’t really do jab to throw effectively because his jabs don’t really give frame advantage on block, as opposed to Balrog/Chun/etc., so the Knee is his tick-throw tool. But it’s a very good one!
Ahhh, I guess he was right in that aspect! and, yes it is! Im finally playing people who BLOCK and fully realizing the Knee’s usefulness

I got beat by a guy, then he rejoined and did a mirror match with me which I won and ranked me up to B. And he sent me a me a message saying “Wow B dan! I can’t get mine over 2500” XD. It’s been a long journey indeed. And I also had someone cord pull in an endless yesterday.
