Mercs mode is gdlk.
Me and a friend spent most of the night playing this shit, to unlock all of the characters. I need more levels ASAP. Took a decent amount of time, but we got everyone. Felt mad good to own up the stage with the lickers with the last character, so much that it stop spawning enemies entirely.

Wesker with the Stars outfit destroys everyone, for free. He’s easily the best character in mercs mode.
I’m still kinda miffed about a combo I missed. We had chained 40+ enemies, and I forgot about one of the dudes that mutated. Needless to say, I got bit and put in death mode. He was on the other side of the map. 
see that’s what I hate about mercs co-op…if you enter death state and your buddy isn’t there you’re fucked. the ship is the statge I cannot finish…I know I can snag the score for unlocking the next stage but my partner (and when I solo myself) die. fuck the chainsaw guys…way too many in this stage.
for the rest of tonight I’m determined to unlock the remaining characters and stages in mercs! :mad:

I just beat 2-2. So far I’m enjoying the game but there’s something missing. It might be the lack of music and the weak ass sound effects for the guns which sound pretty shitty by today’s standards.
I just bought a 360 so add me for co op. My friends list is looking barren as hell :lol:
I really think they overdid it in that stage. During one round I’m pretty sure we killed almost six total with one or two more floating around, before one of us died.
I think what they did since RE4 was upped the variety of enemies before…in 4, I recall taking out the bella chainsaw sisters easily (all but leon has to put some effort into taking them out) so most of the stages to me seem a bit trickier than before. the ship has only Majini and chainsaw guys…what sucks is some die after a good amount of damage but they don’t die…they come back in beserk mode (like the giant dual bladed chainsaw guys in RE4) making shit harder.
also the fact that I have to switch on the fly ammo and items ups the difficulty IMO. getting the scores is easy…surviving is hard 
Use anyone with a magnum. They go down in 3 or 4 shots.
I don’t care what anyone says, Midnight Wesker will always be top tier to me :looney: Prox Bombs and Hand Grenades for crowd control, decent handgun to fish for melee kills, handcannon to brutally maim anything that moves.
I dunno why, but I like using chicks in games in general. I use Jill//Sheva in Mercs… In street fighter I use Cammy//Sakura… and so on.
Anyway’s does anyone know the file or notes that explains how Jill turns blond? I know there should be a reason since in Mercs, BSAA Jill has brown hair and Battle Suit Jill is blond.

I really haven’t bought any new weapons. almost all of my orginal weapons are maxed out.
I really wish this game was a little bit longer, has anyong found all of the blue plates hidden in the game? If so what does it give you?

The virus injected in her had the side effects of turning her skin more pale and here hair turned blond. Shit was pretty random.
The Ship stage in mercs mode isnt really that difficult. One of my main problems with it is that whenever i play with someone over live they NEVER get the combo time and I usually start near the chainsaw guy and thats an easy 8-10x combo in the beginning.
Only stage i have yet to get 80+ in is the prison. I almost got 100+ in the map with the gatling gun guy but the fiends stopped spawning lol.
Mercs sounds really fun. I guess I should stop trying to preserve RE5’s longevity and beat it because there seems to be a lot more to do after.
So realistically, how do you aim the Longbow? Go for roughly center of the screen and pray?
Also, how do I get an Oval Topaz? It is the only treasure I still need.

Right now on my 3rd playthough still trying to unlock every thing in the mercs mode.
My regular game set up is so sic.
Chris: S&W M500 Handcannon infinty bullets on that.
Hydra Trips Barrel shotgun: infinty on that.
Sheva: The M29 Fully upgraded MAG infinty bullets on that
The M37 Fully upgraded infinity bullents on that.
I set her to attack mode and we kick down more doors than Rorschach.
Umm anybody places to farm for money and points than 5-1. per run you can get like 21k in about 7minutes if you have a powerful gun.
Finally beat the game. I will definitely play a second time around so i can fully upgrade some of these guns for the infinity ammo.
Eh, Jill can do whatever she wants. Tribal Sheva is the new :lovin:.
I do 5-3 where you take out 2 of the giant buggies. I need around 21,000 on there too with one run through of about 6-7 minutes as well. perhaps we’re talking about the same thing?
Really tired of RE5 after going through it 3-4 times. Hell, even the second time through was bad enough.
Now… if Capcom released Merc mode by itself, I’d be happy.
