cant buy ammo in 4.
I been calling the partner the AI so far, but people now know you can play as Sheva.
I been playing her exclusively in campaign, cause she takes up half the screen of what roidhead does. You simply see more.
The only problem is when that neanderthal fuck moves in front of you, when there’s enemies.
I got every level in Mercenaries and characters too.

They can be killed in two hits. Nitrogfen plus something else. Or shotty them onto their stomach and impale. Once you know where they’re gonna appear, they turn into a joke, cause they cant do shit against grenades either.
Yeah, I recently played a co-op game on that area with some random dude and he was killing them like cake. It was a damn one man show lol.
Btw, is it just me or playing 5-3 is pretty addicting? Well not addicting, it gives me chills all the time fighting Wesker and the “other” fight(not much of a fight ;]).
You can buy a gun, upgrade the capacity a bit, then sell it. You only get 10% of the gun’s value back, but you get to keep all the ammo that was in it :looney:
I guess if you have a ton of money lying around from exploiting Rotten Eggs, then it would be a fast way to accumulate ammo.

The closest RE4 got to ammo purchasing, was upgrading ammo capacity. Maybe it was the abundance of it thats confusing people.
I remember buying handgun ammo, but that’s it
also random fact, in my current RE4 playthrough I’m fighting the Iron Maiden. with just my knife. haven’t touched it for 5 months.
Played the game and beat it.
I have to say it’s a GOOD game but not nearly as good as i thought it would be. The story was terrible and they really dropped the ball with it imo.
Sheva was a good character and a great addition to the cast.
Chris is…well chris. I never really liked him and I still don’t.
Nina Williams was pimp.
This game is only good because RE4 was godlike. 5 had a tough act to follow and it did’nt live up to it IMO. There wasn’t a real advancement in terms of game play like I would have wanted in the sequel. I think there was WAY too much action and not enough survival horror. Not once did I feel trapped or even tense.
I think these guys tried to make it too much like the films and lost the core of what made RE awesome. Environment, scares, puzzles, story. I was also surpried that there was NO BACKTRACKING AT ALL! WTF?
That being said this game it good and has a lot of replay value.

edit: lol Speaking of ammo issues. I actually beat the final boss with the fucking knife last night cause I had no fucking ammo. Took me 20 mins to beat his ass.

Almost finished with SP. Awesome game so far as I wasnt expecting much. I always liked Chris better than Leon…
I agree with everything said. I just play RE for the story. The replay is nice but it doesn’t last long 4 me.
Infinte mag ammo crushes everything. I can’t believe I wasted money on the Gatling gun
Fuck Backtracking. If there’s one thing i hated about the RE series, it was backtracking. I think after DMC4, Capcom probably didn’t want to do that again.
I really i loved this game but it was gonna be hard to try and top RE4. Hopefully when they make the next RE game, they can revamp the gameplay.
On a sidenote, i’m a bit conflicted on X-plays RE5 review, they mentioned the nagging stuff that alot of reviewers have harped on but they seemed to be really offended by the african references in the game like the tribal enemies.
Finished RE4 yesterday, including Ada’s Seperate Ways game which took a few hours. Then played through the first 2 chapters of RE5. It’s been fun so far, but I probably won’t hurry up and beat it until RE6 is about to comes out. :lol:
I think my only gripe is, that at least on PS3 it loads to fast? Which would not be a problem but I don’t get enough time to read the storyline tidbits that appear during the loading screens. I’d rather they not do that and just show artwork or something if I wasn’t going to have time to read it… Well most of it is common RE knowledge I guess.
LOL WTF there’s no trophy I’d achievement for finishing veteran and professional with all S grades?
I guess I’ll do a S run on amateur just to get one of those ingame unlockables. Blah already had S’s in Vet up until 3-1

Just got up 4-2. Is it normal that all of a sudden in the last few levels I couldn’t stop getting shotgun ammo, when before all I was getting was Handgun and Machine Gun rounds?
By the way, I found it hilarious that you can kill the Bat-crawler thing the 2nd time around by just shooting the Grenade Launcher in his face a couple of times. Considering how it was a bit of a struggle the first time around.
by the time i got to final wesker with my brother i (sheva) had zero ammo for my handgun nor my machine gun. i was basically running bait for my brother while he pumped magnum and shotgun lead into dude.
gatling gun obstructs so much view space.
i agree with what people have said about this particular game not being as epic as RE4. I never felt a hint of heart beating tension. Just frustration stemming from them damn instant kill cockroaches.
personally wish there was more puzzles and siege type settings. (ie night of the living dead lets hold em off for set amount of time before we gotta bounce out)
