lol @ Dead Rising being a good game.

Dead Aim was a horrible game. Dead Rising was a alrite game, but not even close to the shit tier level of Dead Aim.

this was like the best part of the game.

I heard in the ps2 version you get less ammo than the GC. That would make things interesting because when I played the GC version I always had a shitload of shotgun ammo coming in from the enemies. Anyone know if this is true or not?

i dont think thats true about the ps2 version having less ammo cause i always had a lot of shotgun ammo as well

but maybe thats partially due to me not killing everything and trying to play it like survival horror

Blacks looks on RE5 on racism

For many people the trailer for Resident Evil 5 was seen as an exciting new direction for the definitive survival horror franchise. For others, it’s racist hate mongering at its worst. Kym Platt at Black Looks, a blog dedicated to exploring issues concerning African women, expresses her concerns over the trailer which depicts Chris Redfield in what appears to be an African setting, struggling against a horde of black zombies.

This is problematic on so many levels, including the depiction of Black people as inhuman savages, the killing of Black people by a white man in military clothing, and the fact that this video game is marketed to children and young adults. Start them young… fearing, hating, and destroying Black people.

This is a really touchy subject. Looking past the mistaken idea that the game is being marketed to children, I can completely see where Platt is coming from to a certain extent. It is a white figure of some authority being attacked by a horde of what appears to be African peoples. This much is true.

On the other hand, zombie stories originated in the Afro-Caribbean Vodoun belief system, so for a series that relies on zombies as its main antagonists, exploring the voodoo origins of zombie mythology seems only natural, and in order to do that you are going to end up exploring villages that just don’t happen to have many Caucasians in them.

If the game does anything it bolsters the hatred of black zombies already present in the well-established hatred of zombies in general. It teaches us that no matter what color they are on the outside, flesh-hungry reanimated dead people are really fundamentally the same, and should probably be avoided at all costs. When the zombie apocalypse comes, I’d like to think that mankind will band together regardless of race or nationality in the name of preserving the future of humanity and the safety of our precious brainmeats:

Yep we guessed it way before this is only the begining, Capcom outside of Japan NA and Europe will have to throw in some white zombies to keep people carm, this happens alot in games actually.

I mean look at the gay hommo from Streets of Rage didnt they turn him into a robot for the NA/Europe games lol.

i knew this was gonna happen sooner or later, but seriously this is just a game and to be perfectly honest this shyt is no way different than playing GTA: SA. the only real diffrences is the main charcter is white and Samuel L. Jackson is’nt doing a voice over.

plus i feel more connected to the game, kinda, because it’s like trying to put yourself in that situation compared to all the other RE’s before. this is what Black people, the ones who follow this series, have been wanting the shyt to involve: more black people in it. we’ve also have been wanting a senerio of how black people would react when seeing something like this: horrdes of negros wanting take your life, ala zombie/gando/wtfever.

i give props to Capcom for finally making a game with more than 3 Black people in it and it’s not sports related.

Capcom spoke with us earlier about the controversy surrounding their highly-anticipated game Resident Evil 5.

There have been arguments in many videogame forums concerning the zombies in this game. Chris Redfield, the playable character, is on a mission to rid the T-virus infected Africans and locate it’s source. Though many fans of the Resident evil series are eager to get their hands on this game, many others are not happy with the Africans being involved in this. Many have claimed that it is “racist” and “inconsiderate” , and others think "it’s perfectly fine the way it is.

Capcom has been receiving many angry emails and letters concerning the issue. Speaking with a Capcom representative about their up coming games, we later began talking about this recent issue. According to the representative, the only way to fix this is to add different races in the mix. " We’ve been discussing this and a great way to please everyone is to add different races into the game, but, this is only one of the ideas that we’ve spoke about.

Personally, I don’t think it’s a bright idea but this was only an idea.

As a matter of fact the series as a whole sure does hate on white people a lot. I mean in Resident evil 1 through ZERO, the vast majority of enemy’s were white. Guess that means Capcom hates white people, right? There sure were a lot of threads complaining about killing Spanish people leading up to RE4’s release, right?

I wouldn’t doubt it. Why is race being played into the RE series now? Becuse they’re black. Well, he does sock one of them in their face…

If this was in some arab country, no one would complain. No one complained about the spanish, or the hicks of racoon city.

I think the most complains will be about the black women in the game getting socked and killed by a white guy. If there are infected children in the game, congress will be there.
