Evil Within is alright. My biggest compliant is the game basically feels like RNG on higher difficulties with how many insta-kill situations the game throws at you. Normal, and hard mode iirc are pretty fun though, and they did patch out the letterboxing issues.
Just finished it [details=Spoiler] why don’t you think it’s Chris in the end out of curiosity? He def loss his gains if it is him lol. Also iirc didn’t re6 take place in like 2012? Not that much time has went by for Chris and Jill to have a grown son
Also I agree that twist was dope…But what happened to the son? Did I miss something? Also who was he communicating to or working with? Not umbrella tight?[/details]
Anybody see if the new CGI movie is available to do yet with the preorder code?
[details=Spoiler] Lucas was infected by Evie, but he was sent a cure and made his own little lab. His notes detail this and how he plays dumb so Evie doesn’t find out while he spies and gathers information. Otherwise when Lucas has his hand chopped off it wouldn’t have grown back dudes. The Sisters DLC also shows him being knocked out and dragged by Jack to become infected.
On the Chris thing, there is just a large group that thinks it is HUNK or someone similar pretending to be Chris, as he is a pretty world renown B.O.W. body-er at this point and if Ethan is a former Umbrella employee (Him and Mia are heavily implied to be so) it is probably someone he wouldn’t question when being picked up.
It is either that or Chris has taken a more radical departure in his physical look and beliefs, even more so than RE1/CV to 5 I’d say. This new Umbrella could be a good faction for once but I’m not buying it. My own personal theory is they are a B.O.W. hunting unit on the outside but secretly using these events to gather data and material on different strains. But the Chris RE7 should drop fairly soon and we’ll get new information.
[details=Spoiler]I am pretty sure it is Hunk as he just says Redfield.[/details] Distortion 2 on twitch ran through it in an hour and a half speedrunning it.
just finished watching RE: Vendetta and i thought it was really good.
the plot is typical RE fare but the animation is absolutely next level; no surprise as marza animation of the 2013 space pirate captain harlock handled this one.
the claret flows freely this time around and the action scenes are pretty slick. i like the fact that the CGI films are all set within the game universe rather than the atrocious live-action “movie series” which is a poor pastiche of elements from the games.
the rebecca chambers character model sometimes looks like a 14-year old girl rather than an ex-STARS member and/or university professor
love that throwback RE 1 scene where a zombie is munching on a corpse, made me smile when i saw it
the main bad guy is pretty messed up with some yoshikage kira hand/arm tendencies.
fucking sicko
the script is still pretty wonky in places but overall it feels every bit of the b-movie zombie flick that RE is known for; which, coincidentally, this movie is too lololol
I finished the Not a Hero DLC. The DLC is pretty short just clocking in under 3 hours. It serves to tie up the loose end that is Lucas Baker and doesn’t do anything more than that.
[spoiler=]Lucas was working with a criminal organization called The Connections and was their head researcher on the E-series molded. Nothing about this group is elaborated on unfortunately.
The questions about Umbrella is answered from the jump on a document you start the DLC with. In 2007, Umbrella became a PMC as a means to make a mends for all the bioweapons it has created. Chris is on loan from the BSAA to assist Umbrella in their mission to capture Lucas as their bioweapon specialist. He’s not happy about the arrangement.[/spoiler]
