I just got myself a 3DS and was going to buy RE for it but will this future upcoming one REALLY be worth waiting for? or shall I buy the 3DS one for a dirt cheap price?
Glad to see Revelations coming to console. Will definitely buy that. The 3ds is not doing so well in the UK and I could never justify paying £36 for a 3ds game. I’ll gladly pay the £15 or so for the psn download.
Anyone think the RE series will reboot within the next couple of years? I have a feeling it will, especially since DMC got that treatment. I always felt RE would be more likely than DMC.
Considering the DMC reboot tanked. I’m pretty sure Capcom will stick to their guns. At most we’ll probably get something like RE4 again in terms of survival/action horror.
Nah, there’s no need. Current RE is still getting the numbers they want and DmC didn’t go as well for them as they would have hoped. They know that right now RE is their number 1 franchise, can’t afford to rock the boat too much.
Not from what I heard. Don’t believe it broke any records or outsold its predecessors but I heard it performed admirably enough. Certainly not enough for a reboot.
Besides, if RE fans actually want to not be hypocritical and stick to their guns, then Revelations should be their highest selling RE in a long time once it hits consoles.
I haven’t played RE6 nor do I have any interest to unless it’s on steam for $10 or a friend buys it and I play at his crib, so I can’t speak about it’s quality. But even if it’s as bad or worse than most people say it is that doesn’t bother me nearly as much as the fact that a company calls it’s own game a failure after selling 5 million copies. Fucking disgusting.
That’s not their problems. Would you rather they just put their hands over their ears saying “la la la la la” and say their game was great?
It’s like talking shit on the 2008 Patriots for being mad that they didn’t win the Super Bowl after being perfect the entire season. It’s not their problem, the Patriots have SUPER BOWL TALENT and probably the best coach in the league and were impeccable. Anything less than a Super Bowl is a failure at that point. Same shit here.
I forgot I’m on SRK where some don’t even have an 8th grade level understanding of economics. You really can’t see how ridiculously high production costs are ruining the industry both financially and creatively? When a game sells 5 million units and it still isn’t projected as a financial success there is a serious issue.
I can see it quite clearly, but that’s a problem with the industry and economy in general. It WILL collapse under its own weight given enough time. This was always going to happen, anyone who thought otherwise was being naive.
