Man at first I thought Capcom’s decision making wouldn’t spill into RE6 but now I am not so sure. Glad I didn’t pre-order RE6 yet, as a fan I love the idea of Chris and Leon being in the same game. I actually liked RE5, it wasn’t a spectacular game but was very fun with friends. I am hoping RE6 is Capcom’s one gem this year but it seems the higher ups are lost at this point.

you shouldnt have any doubts about RE6. I am sure it will deliver just fine. even tho re5 wasnt as good as 4 or any other RE games but most people still bought and played it.
Doesn’t matter they made the mistake of giving it to slant six when all of there games have been technically appalling. RE6 has cred but looking at everything they have done with their other IP’s I know RE6 is gonna have issues. Mark my words, DLC will be a total rip for the game. Probably on disc if you look at their recent announcement about slowly changing plans for DLC distribution then you will know. RE6 is developed internally with a huge team but just like Mr.X pointed out, huge teams don’t necessarily mean good game.

Shinji Mikami left a long time ago. Dude made Vanquish (Platinum Games) which was considered one of the most original TPS in recent memory and made it on the “top 10 games you never played” but as you guessed it wasn’t commercially successful. Recently he has stated his return to the survival horror genre. He admits the demand for old school horror games and wants to deliver.
