Really random, but this is probably my second time ever playing Resident Evil 3 (never finished it…). Is there a “wrong” answer for the choices that pop up? I assume not, because I just made it to the clock tower and I didn’t “fail” one yet…i guess.

No, just if you take certain paths you have to fight Nemesis…but you get parts to create a special weapon. I never chose to though, to much wasted ammunition.

I never played any RE other than 4 and 5. I was thinking about getting either 2 and 3, 1 and 2, or 1 and 3. I can afford two from the PSN store. What should I get?
Before anyone tells me the earlier games are not like 4 and 5 I know that already. I am willing to try any game before I lay judgment. So please just can it with the, “the original games aren’t like 4 and 5 thing” because I’ve heard enough of that shit.

So, I ran through light mode like a bitch. Getting ready to tackle hard. How I still managed to take some deaths with all of the guns in the world, I don’t know. My classic RE skills have faded a bit. Beat it in 4 hours…which is way to long (i got lost a bunch of times).
-Hunters in packs :eek: They aren’t as bad as they are in REmake or Outbreak (omfg…breaking shotguns…), but low health = decap.
-Nemesis standing right outside of a save room. :eek:
-Creepy ass walking creatures that eat your brain. :eek:
I’m about to run it back on hard and try and fight Nemesis each time…
Mercs mode is hella hardcore in this.
I’d get 2 and 3. Then get REmake for GC if you have a wii or gc you can play it on. The atmosphere in REmake is unparallelled by any of the other RE games.
REmake is my 2nd favorite RE. Behind CV:X
Yea RE 2 and 3. If you end up really liking them then check out RE1. And for damn sure if you have a cube or Wii get REMake.
I replayed RE3 earlier this year. But yea Nemesis is so intimidating the first couple times. I remember first playing this game when I was 12 and I absolutely still hate that fucker to this day. But if you have something like the upgraded handgun ammo or explosive shotgun shells they actually faze him like every other hit. This makes it much more easier to just go toe to toe with him on hard. Then once I got the freeze rounds, you want to fight him so he drops the loot, since with those rounds, Jill basically curbs stomps him.
I also remember on Mercs mode that if you are Nicholai and if use the knife as the last hit on nemesis, you literally get a shit load of time that you basically can prance through Raccoon City and take a nap while you’re at it. The bus yard fight with the tentacle nemesis and the explosive barrel is the easiest place to do this because you can just weaken him then go at it.
OG re1 is good too. Id play in this order. 1,2,3,CV,remake.
then maybe…0. all that backtracking wasnt fun.
My top three RE games are REmake, RE2, and CV. Could play those all day every day.
Been looking around to fill the few gaps in my RE collection and funny enough I realized I only own the Gamecube version of RE3. Guess I need to throw someone $10 for a PS1 copy.
Also does anyone here still play Mercs mode in RE5? Honestly I really enjoy the mode and have been running it again in my free time but it’s so hard to find decent people or people who don’t drop 10 seconds in. If anyone still plays hit me up on PSN at TheAmazingDoc.
Don’t just get OG RE1, get the Director’s Cut version of it THEN get REmake.
I seriously suggest playing the games in this order:
RE2, RE3:NEM, RE1:DC, RE0, RE3:CV, REmake
but that’s just me.

Am I missing something with dodge mechanic in this game? Do you just aim and mash on action as fast as you can, and hope for the best?
Fuck those secret parts. Nemesis is gdlk on this difficulty. lol. Going by the video, you wait for him to come at you, and run past his tentacle arm? I tried fighting him twice and got sonned both times. smh
the vid I posted was on Normal…
the dodge system is broken but hard as hell to master. it’s like parrying in 3’s but a bit harder due to camera angles.
