I wonder if they pull a LOTR Conquest (I believe this is the battlefield like one) where there are two sides and during a certain point in the match, the top players on the team can assume “hero” units that are rather buffed. For example, 5 min into the match or after a certain condition, the Hit squad gets Hunk and the other side gets Leon to duke it out. I would love to see Hunk’s neck snapping action vs. Leon’s Head exploding kicks :nunchuck:.

No clue, unless they were monitored and it takes place after RE2 then yeah. This game just makes me remember those shitty RE novels way back when, that had original characters and the people from the games in beat up vans having shoot out’s with the Umbrella Mafia before stumbling across random lab #14. Just seems like they took a rabid fan and let him fuck continuity with no lube.
Although, the Spec Ops/Umbrella thing is not out of the question giving RE3 (The dead bodies of both littered throughout, suggesting a small scale war) just the “Let’s have a super badass sounding team that will ultimately prove stupid in order to cash in on dat Gears trend” idea is never my favorite.
Not being a smart ass, but have they even announced Co-op or online MP at all yet? It’d be cool to do 4-player co-op and then have an online Spec Ops/Umbrella mode with the B.O.W’s as AI third party problems (Or even playable in certain maps, I call the Hunter.)

Man, Leon shows how much of a boss he is by basically being the main character of a game he’s not even playable in.
With a haircut like that Leon really needs to assert his dominance on like everything. I bet Leon will be like that unkillible “secret” boss in Borderlands. I.E., he will fuck your shit up, and only let you kill him if he wants.
So since this isn’t like a “New” RE, in the sense of a continuation from said company will RE6 be announced? I think it’d be a good idea if Capcom just goes RE happy for a bit.

That’s certainly possible. We’re getting two new RE games on the 3DS, one being a traditional game, and the devs at Capcom have a couple secret projects lined up.

Yeah it’s been a few years, then out of the blue they announce two 3DS games, a spin-off of sorts for PS3/360 and HD ports of RE4 and CV. Something is up at Capcom.
Although I think the original was in '96 right? Been a while, which would make RE celebrate it’s 15th year anniversary (Capcom likes to go in 5’s).

I’ve been staring down the mag scans for awhile now. Looks very impressive. And I love the concept of a special tactical team, with various abilities (cloaking is always awesome).
Graphically, it looks to be superior to RE5 (which isn’t hard to do). And I love the dark atmosphere of Raccoon. Next-Gen has been good to it, sorta speak.

You can try to kill Leon, but the game’s just gonna go to a special cutscene of him suplexing your character and insta-killing him, or something similar. Claire’s been turned into a scrub by Capcom though so I bet she’s fair game.
