Yeah, best of all, you don’t need to entirely S rank one level of difficulty either. My S ranks were fragmented between normal and veteran difficulty. 
Man, I want to read this thread badly. I’m not letting myself though, I still got about 3 weeks of my trip left before I can get back to my sexy PS3 and hoping my brother is holding me a copy of the CE, if not, I hope it’s a CE that sticks around for a while, MGS4 and GTA4 CE status.
I’m fucking prepared though, I just beat RE4 on PS2 with the added content, first time I experienced it since I own RE4 on 'Cube and cleared a 150K points in Mercenaries using Hunk. Sitting in the middle of the village in the first mission killing everything that comes near and snapping the necks of the chainsaw sisters is too fun.
Let me know through a PM if you guys see sealed copies of RE5 CE’s around, would be nice to know. My brother is always working, haven’t talked to him on the phone since I left.

you always gotta keep them chasing you around. dont kill everyone because you can. always head shot first then cobra strike for that extra 5 sec. one time I had a 50+ chain in public assembly which is the easiest stage imo. I wasnt even trying that hard. its all good as long as I hit 40k since you dont really get anything for more points(or do I??)
No, not really. 5,000 points is the max you can earn.

Im slowly moving up the ranks in mercenaries. Im Ranked 874 at public assembly with midnight wesker. Gotta get higher and rep that SRK and america lol.
So I got the game last Friday, haven’t beaten it, main reason being is that I don’t want to until me and a friend beat it together. Also, that AI wastes to much of my damned ammo. Geez, I can run up to the guy and stomp his shit. But the game is great so far.
Its not easy yet not TOO hard. But I’m playing on normal, so I will try out a level on veteran to see how far I can actually get.
I went with area 5-2 with the several Lickers in the long corridor. I used my upgraded rifle w.infinite ammo and let them come to me. Each one drops a gem worth 5K, they drop a total of 5 gems in that one corridor. Did that about 10-15 times and managed to upgrade the remaining weapons I possessed and bought the others I hadn’t bought yet.

I set Sheva for cover and gave her the stun rod. I had absolutely no ammo issues at all. On later play thorughs, I gave her a sniper rifle w/infinite ammo.
My problem with 5…its just not resident evil, sure the storyline is great for BOW’s but the gameplay was just eww for me, I miss bad camera angles and typewriters!
I also need to say that mercs mode is amazing, I enjoy it more then the rest of the game together.
Yeah this has been said before but it needs to be reiterated. This series needed to be different from the what we’ve played from Code Veronica on back to the first game.
God forbid if this series drags back to slow ass zombies and typewriters again.
And if they do go back to zombies at least do it ALA the Dawn of the Dead remake.
I remember first hearing about “running zombies will be in RE5” knowing fully well that a return to actual zombies wasn’t going to happen, but running enemies will happen, and I thought “Damn, this is going to be awesome.”
Eh, not so much. Seeing them run at you is great and all but when they stop 10 feet away from you and their hands don’t seem to grab you kinda ruins the experience.
I like RE5, but RE4 is still king.
I bought the minigun gun today for Chris and tried it out. I can’t see a dman thing on the screen when he carries that pack on him. Coldn’t they have made that pack a tad smaller. I’m fucked if I’m attacked on my left.
I gave her the longbow at some point but took it away laughing…she couldn’t aim for shit
