You can save the blonde haired girl? Never heard of this. I don’t see how considering you hear her scream during a cutscene that’s meant to introduce the new Plagas.
On a different (and funny) note: I usually listen to music on my PC when I play video games. Yesterday I had beaten normal mode for the first time, and the point where Chris, Jill and Sheva are in the final scene flying away with Jill, this song called “Sheeps go to Heaven, Goats go to Hell” by Cake came on, and it played through all the credits. I muted the TV and enjoyed the dynamics of the odd relationship I found between the game and the song - Chris and Sheva (the sheep) vs. Weskers (obviously the goat).
Towards the end, the sun is setting and the end chorus comes up and the tune is prett funny if you know the part I’m talking about. It was all just really fitting yet comical. If I ever get the chance to make a montage video, I might just use that song.
1st - when you can’t see her by the first assist jump but you can hear her scream
2nd - it’s random and I think it’s based on time but you need to be close to the part where the majini jumps from behind boxes …I think…
third - obviously the cut scene
I think it’s one of the achievements. I notice it after I got the one achievement where you need to stab a licker in the heart. and I know it’s not the partner/herb helper achievement. it’s another one about “saving someone that you normally can’t”. I dnk, I was drunk at the time. :rock:
You’d have to be haulin’ serious ass in that stage to save her because I could imagine such a task would operate on a certain time restriction challenge.
Ugh, I can’t believe I’m gonna say this on SRK… Offline co-op is fucking killing me! I have no idea how to actually select this mode!!! I tried for 10 minutes to figure out how my wife and I can get a game started but all I got was single player or forced to exit messages. Navigating this system blows!
I read the manual…you press start on the 2p controller during the one player game. To be fair, I did spend a fair amount of time staring at the menus half baked and confused.
I like mercenaries better this time around. Still kind of BS and frustrating, but the more combat oriented system of RE5 lends itself better. So far my strategy has been to dump my pistol and be economical with the other weapons. I’ve only unlocked bsaa jill so far…I’m mostly playing for the points to get infinite weapons.
Speaking of which, whats up with not being able to use them co-op? I mean, one minute, your AI partner is using (or at least holding) an infinite weapon, your buddy joins in, and then all of a sudden its like the two of you have never met. What they hell, I spent the time and effort so me and my partner could have overpowered weapons to waste zombies, but instead of being able to share that with people who come to my house, they have to beat the game and do it themselves.

Also: You can not get the masters of removing achievement? I thought it was kind of a mandatory one that you’d get from just playing through the story.
Don’t partners earn combos jointly? Couldn’t both characters on the same team be killing together?
In order to earn Masters of Removing, you have to rip the control device off with one player holding Jill from behind while the other pulls at it. A single player removing it while she’s on the floor doesn’t get the achievement.
Speaking of saving the blonde, I’ve never run into a time where killing the blonde did not make her sprout the stupid plagas, so today I decided…hmmm, you know what, lets break her neck, and what do you know, no plagas, just a good ol’ lifeless blonde dead on the floor.
For those who don’t know, shoot someone in the leg until he falls on her knees, preferably with a handgun (don’t wanna kill the guy now do we?), then run right pass him, like you actually are bumping his shoulder, instead of your “hook” the command prompt will turn into “neck break” once the guy is behind you…enjoy.
If you play as Sheva, she slits the guy’s throat, very nice.
Just obtained my Platinum Trophy, didn’t buy versus mode though.
Can anyone get me a screencap, as HQ as possible, of Midnight Wesker’s face in the Mercs/Versus character select screen? One of my friends was planning to use it in a stick art request if one of a suitable size/quality could be found.
I read on GameSpot that offline co-op was only for the 360. Can anyone confirm this? I tried several ways on my PS3 to get it to work and couldn’t find a way.
