Resident Evil (Questions & Discussions) Thread

I actually got this one by accident. I was just randomly sniping and at some point the AI picked it up. :xeye:

So I finished RE5 on normal. Pretty good, I’m not too sure what all the Sheva hate is all about, to me she didn’t do too much ever, so she was like an item bag with a gun and a great ass. It came to a point I wouldn’t let her have any guns except the rifle…I tried letting her have the stun rod but she never attacked, or would get her ass kicked.

Difficulty was kinda spotty, most of the time when you’re fighting “people” its pretty easy. When they throw like 8 lickers at you, it gets hectic. Those things that just walk up and stab you repeatedly (mantises? cockroaches?) were annoying until I figured out to just open up on them with the machine gun at their weak spots.

Well I’m going to have fun collecting all the stuff I missed and upgrading all the other weapons on new game+
Has anyone come up with weapon tiers? I’m curious what will pay out the most once I max it out…and for some reason I really liked the grenade launcher, I guess having 12 grenades in one spot is pretty useful.

Once you get infinite rockets, the rest of the game is kind of a joke

Srysly. I ended the second uroboros fight within a few frames, the other player started screaming at me.

Is there anyway of letting the new players know that you can end the Wesker battle with a QTE without messaging?

No love for Clubbin Sheva? That’s who I got an A on Experimental Facility with. I actually had enough points for an A on it with BSAA Jill, but died waiting for the time to run out. Damnit

Its like that for every other RE game.

nah nah nah…

all about Clubbin Sheva

Reapers and Chainsaw guys aren’t that hard to kill with Tribal. Especially since there are rockets on the stage with chainsaw guys.

And couldn’t the other player be getting the melee kills while Tribal just fucks shit up?

Y’all got all these varieties of Sheva and other folks, man. I got the first 2 people still and only have the first 2 stages unlocked. B on the first stage is the best I can do

yo…when do you be online??

**I haven’t been on this weekend because i’ve been working, but usually i’ll get on the 360 in the evening to play RE5 or Mass Effect.

Question: Do any upgrades you do on your weapons carry over into Mercenaries?**

no…

MWAHAHAHAHA!

Eat my ass. But thanks for answering my question.

Rockets are only on that stage and compare the time/points you could be getting if both players were getting melee kills.

Man, what is Tribal? I wanna get in on the discussion, but my gameplay is inadequate like the U.S. employment rate.

Tribal Sheva. Unlocked by getting an A rank or better on the Missile Area map. She is equipped with the longbow, 3 flash grenades, 3 incendiary grenades, and the grenade launcher loaded with 6 liquid nitrogen rounds. She is probably the fastest killer in Mercs mode and doesn’t really have to worry about ammo pickups or reloading, but is hampered by the near inability to get melee kills for the 5 second time bonuses. Arguably also the fact that the longbow doesn’t have a laser sight, but that just takes practice.

**<-- Didn’t know you got 5 sec. bonuses for melee kills.

Well DAMN…**

You don’t have to choose New Game +. Just go back to Chapter select. Everything still counts.

No need for weapon tiers really lol. Once you unlock the best weapon of each category you get something beastly. So just max out the first pistol to get the 3-shot burst pistol, max out the first shotgun to unlock the 3 barreled Hydra, max out the first magnum to unlock one big fucking magnum, max out the first sniper rifle to unlock the bow and arrow for Sheva (which you should make her main weapon from that point forward), max out the first machine gun to unlock the gatling gun for Chris, and have a total game completion time under 5 hours to unlock the infinite rocket launcher.

I recommend maxing out the magnum and sniper rifle first. And while you are doing that shave off minutes from you time in the game. While you are rushing through stages you’ll be racking up points and collecting treasure. Bam, now you got your hustle going. By the time you get the infinite RPG you should have had your Sniper Rifle and Magnum maxed out and bought the ability for those two to have infinite ammo. Wash rinse repeat for the rest of the weapons.

So I played split screen Mercs with a friend who had been renting and playing Mercs almost exclusively on his PS3. After he got acclimated to the controls on the 360 we presumed to feed our addictions. So now I know how Mercs really works now and I can’t wait to try it again. Mess is so crazy once you understand how it works.

So this afternoon I finally found a rotten egg. With just this one that I found, can I set up for the glitch?

Yes, though a faster way would be to find a friend who already has nine.
