GOOOOODAMMIT.
I packed up my 360 and brought it to work since I can play it on the 60" plasma right next to my work desk so I can play some RE5 (a warm up for Monday), and I forgot to grab the damn game. sighs

You must have the best job ever.
damn, i feel sad for that shit, mech
Ok, so I have to ask. I know someone probably brought this up already, but can someone explain to me why Jill’s hair is…so different from what I remember?
Carpet not matching drapes
When she got “Wesker-fied” it made her paler and made her hair blonde.
God I fucking hate the Missle Area. Ugh. Can’t even get fucking A rank on this shit cus the level is so god damn confusing. I can’t figure out where the fuck where I can and cannot go to get time bonuses. -_-
EDIT: Of course after I post it I get it. Never going back there again.
How do you unlock STARS Chris and Tribal Sheva in single player?
You need 25/30 BSAA Emblems for STARS Chris and 30/30 Emblems for Tribal Sheva.
On the discussion of tiers for Merc mode, is that list for single or co-op? Cause the tiers are way different for co-op.
I’m about to rent REmake, RE2, and RE3 for the gamecube. Are RE2 and RE3 enhanced in any way on the GC? Or are they simply just straight up ports of the original PSX games. Because I understand that RE2 got an enhanced version on the PSX. Is that the version released on the GC?
They just smooth out the graphics for the GC versions, otherwise just direct ports. It’s the Dualshock version for RE2 btw. Other than the obvious dualshock support for the PSX, it got a few extra modes, most notably, Extreme Battle. The Dreamcast and PC versions of RE3 got more costumes, but GC didn’t.
Single. I haven’t played much co-op.
According to the Leaderboards; Wesker(Midnight)> Wesker(S.T.A.R.S.) but I just don’t understand how? All of my SS scores I’ve gotten (single and co-op) have been with S.T.A.R.S. and every time I try playing Midnight I’m always 3000 or so points short of SS, what does he have over S.T.A.R.S.?
No matter what mode I have set, unless it’s really close quarters (like a small room or a tunnel) she’ll run out of my range of sight and out of my trading range indefinitely. Inconsistent AI = fubar. (If I press B to call for help or to trade she’ll come over momentarily then run right back to her previous out of reach position, it’s really frustrating, especially sometimes when she runs into the midst of enemies in a large area and tends to get herself killed because she get’s gangbanged in all directions, like in the cliff area right before the end boss fight in chapter 2-3.)
I haven’t tried that, thanks for the tip (even though I love sniping if she’s good at it I might have to hand it over to her).
There is no way in hell I’m letting her handle healing. Simply put if someone isn’t at like 80% health or higher she’ll use health items which is retarded. She’s way to “heal-happy”.
I’m on 3-1 on Vet and I’ve died 3 times…Sheva has died about 12. It’s some of the worst AI I’ve ever encountered as far as I’m concerned.
hmm that’s really strange
S.T.A.R.S. edition to me seems to be much more godly in the fact that all of his weapons (save for pistol which only requires 2 bullets to take down a zombie) can take out any boss easily.
Mines are hella nice though but i dont see it replacing hydra shotgun anytime soon.
So yeah, after thinking it was hard to get 80k pts in mercs co-op, me and my cuz got it all easily when we realized what we had to do. Took 1 shot each. lol.
Soooooo what’s left to do in RE5? I guess get unlimited ammo and then play Veteran/Professional??
This game really is fun though. But it’s going to get boring soon I can feel it. Can’t wait for Versus.
Ok, I gave in and picked this up out of sheer boredom and having loved the last one. Overall, it was fairly good, but several things really brought it down.
The a.i. was fucking retarded. This was my greatest enemy in the game. I played around with all sorts of loadouts for her, but she was never consistently competent. Put her in cover and she hardly does anything, put her in attack and she turns into a treasure hunting mob target. I’ve had her just stand there while getting gang banged and holding an infinite ammo magnum.
The devil may cry looking super characters. Interesting, maybe. Resident evil, no.
Recycled elements galore. Animations, turning over tanks, the speeding truck o’ doom, etc.
Odd pacing. One instance that stands out is the beetle/bat boss->car chase->giant boss sequence. Should have been spread out more.
Too predictable. Every time I saw a switch, I automatically knew that a group of enemies or boss was about to show.
Bosses mostly sucked.
Yeah, a lot is nit picky, but I had to point 'em out.
Some things I liked were the no run/shoot and the inventory. That actually added to the tension. I also like that you can buy infinite ammo guns for fun. Mercs, as always, is ridiculously good. Lots of replayability there.
Anyway, that was my ghetto review.
So I picked up Dead Space yesterday in lieu of RE5. Am I doing it wrong?
Um…HOLY SHIT @ Pro mode. Wow. I’m trying to do this shit solo, and my god…it’s tough. I was wondering why I was getting all of these herbs, and then I get hit. lmao. I’m going to do this without infinite ammo, but my god.
I can’t wait for someone to do a knife run on pro mode. Shit seems much harder than RE4 pro mode was.
RE4’s professional mode wasn’t hard as long as you conserved ammo, went for the arms and knees of enemies in order to do the finishers like the suplex or kick.
What made it really easy for me was just using the rocket launcher for every boss minus Krauser and the final boss.
Yo what the hell are the Japanese doing to get 800,000 on Public Assembly? My friend and I just finished with a 147 kill combo with 2:30 left on the clock and we barely got 367,600. There is only 150 enemies on each stage and there is no way those 3 enemies we didn’t combo could add up that much. We used all the combo time extenders as well.
I’ve been trying to find ridiculously high-scoring videos on Niconico, but I haven’t seen anything touching those kind of numbers. Maybe you get a ridiculous bonus for killing all enemies in one combo?
