Its not about just having a chainsaw. Its how that monster specifically is. Its really familiar in looks and actions, just much slower.

Yeah i understand that completely, from an outside perspective they are slow yet dangerous. But why are they so slow? There’s plenty of biological story here that could be played around with.
Also what i mean about the advanced fighting is not to be able to pull out a sword, uppercut a zombie and juggle them with ebony and ivory. What I’m saying is more options in basic reactions, like if I kicked a j’avo in the head with sherry, depending on what state the j’avo is it will be ineffective and cost you recovery time, or trying to giant swing the spider j’avo with jake will give it the option of ukemi or reversing your throw with a trap. It adds a layer of depth that should be there and will enhance the fear of melee encounters
Just finished watching Chris’ scenario.
Chapter V
Can’t believe Piers died. He was actually starting to grow on me. I’ve read somewhere that he dies, so I was praying that he wouldn’t as it got to the final chapter. However, when that BOW got him and he got his arm smashed/chopped off, I knew he was a goner when he injected the virus into him. To be honest, I actually shipped him and Chris, but only out of thought that Chris was never going to get some from Jill or Sheva…
i don’t hate the game but i don’t love it either…it’s just a game to play with a friend
Just finished Jakes, on chris’ now. Im enjoying the game.

A mercenaries guide: Tips on scoring, getting coup de graces, and unlocking hidden bosses.
Might be late on this but, i just noticed that Deborah is playing with herself when she straddles you with her “insta-kill”
Not a bad way to go out…
It’s probably explained in the files but how does the c-virus work? It’s responsible for every B.O.W in this game and it’s effects come across as completely random. Are their different stains of virus that turn people into zombies, J’avo, etc.
It might as well be completely random. It’s the one thing I hate about the game. I mean everything has made sense as far as why the transformations look the way they are. But this? Just randomly turning into different insects? What?
Infection via gas = zombies and direct infection = J’avo. That clears that up. Being part T-veronica virus explains a lot as far as the insect transformations go. I remember ant DNA being involved in that virus creation.
^Yeah I could go with that. But we are getting centipedes, spiders, ants, bees- I mean really?
Don’t forgot grasshoppers. Can’t explain everything I guess.
Finished this game up a few days ago. My parents bought it for me as a birthday present. I gave them the $60 because I felt like they wasted their money.
Pretty sure the C-virus is the prototype for the black goo in Prometheus.
This game is ass.
Why the fuck are people talking about the story like it’s cannon. This shit is some dude’s fanfic.
Chris introduction is cool, that’s it. Music is okay sometimes. Graphics are ass, as when you run it does that shitty blur effect all the time. Omg, you can walk and shoot now! Welcome to fuckin’ 2012!!
“If your expecting a survival horror, than your-” why do people keep bringing that up? It stopped being a survival horror since re4.
This game is for loser weeaboos! Fuck!
Meow.
Your name is PozerWolf and you meowed. I’m so mad right now.>:(
The game isn’t entirely without merit. I think Leon’s campaign showed promise. It’s just that there were very few complaints against RE4 and for whatever reason Capcom decided to take those complaints and make them the backbone of the gameplay. It’s such a weird decision to me. No one liked having Ashley tag along, so now being saddled with a partner is the constant. People were concerned the gameplay was becoming too action oriented, so now you’re basically playing Uncharted 3, complete with plane crashes, train chases, etc. I think Capcom would have done well to expand Leon’s campaign into it’s own game and completely nix the Helena character. As far as Chris and Jake go the thing to do would be to create a brand new IP or make it an off shoot a la Operation Raccoon City. I could go on and on about why this game was such a disappointment but I think most of it has already been covered by now.
eta: I completely forgot this thought that dogged me throughout the whole game. Given that they’ve decided to really play up the action experience, wouldn’t it seem more reasonable to cast Jill in the starring role. Given what they’ve made of the character I would expect her to be the one backflipping zombies’ heads off more than Sherry fucking Birkin (though it was nice, after 14 years, to finally find out what Sherry’s up to).
This game is nothing but wasted potential. I swear, if I wasn’t into always holding onto the games in a series so that I’d always have the complete story, I’d probably destroy the game. Not sell it, because then some other poor soul might buy it.
Just finished Chris’ campaign, dont understand all the extreme hate for it lol. MY NIGGA PIERS
You have people who bitched about RE5 to thank for that. Had the same exact controls as RE4 but people complain about Capcom not evolving the controls since then when games like Dead Space and Dark Sector used similar controls and improved on them. Partners for this game are nowhere near the pain in the ass as RE5’s partner AI. It’s actually a lot better than it use to be. I disagree with nixing Helena. This series is in need of new leads. They can’t reuse Leon, Chris, and Jill forever. Jill isn’t in this as she had the starring role in Resident Evil Revelations released earlier in the year.
