So is there gonna be any DLC besides maps for mercs? Because mercs is already getting stale for me and maps will only revitalize it for about 2 hours or so and then it feels like a waste of money. Honestly the only goals I see in this game is
1: Beat game (Done)
2: Beat game on professional (Almost done)
3: Collect all emblems (only Chris’s and Ada’s emblems left)
After that I’m probably selling this. Mercs is only fun for a short while on this game
But perhaps if they brought back Krauser It would be a lot more fun. Dat arm.
Nothing is as scary as the RE4 regenerators. God help your soul if you didn’t have a chicago typewriter or infrared scope and rifle ammo at the ready. Also their creepy ass wheezing when they were around the corner
I think more costumes would be pretty damn awesome. Idk i have yet to dabble mercs more then just urban choas, i have yet to beat the game but its fine by me, just hate camera, waayyyyyy to zoomed in the character, it gets annoying as fk. If anyone wants to help me in leons story and play some mercs im down. My gt is Natrually Scrub
Im in the same boat now, since i just did all that you mentioned. Got my platinum trophy last night.
Have you guy had some douche bag partner while playing merc? We started the round and he/she ran after me and grenade me twice while i was breaking a time extension crystal. At least they didnt do that while we were attempting high score. I guess some ppl just want the world to burn.
Honestly, I don’t know if I’ll play it again. I haven’t even touched Mercs and I don’t really have the burning desire too after watching some vids. While the movement options and Quick Shot/Melee/Stamina trade off is interesting, something about it seems…soulless. Idk, maybe it’s just me.
RE6 isn’t as horrid as some would lead people to believe…but it’s really nothing better than average. I mean, it was decent when I played it but I felt no huge desire to want to play the second I got a chance, and I had no problem with just being done with playing after a Chapter. No being pulled in for another hour due to fun or wanting to see how it ends. Didn’t hate the game, didn’t love it though. It’s pretty damn forgettable, nothing major happened. Could’ve just introduced Helena and Jake in a side story and mentioned Sherry became an agent and be done with it without the game. There were more ramifications on the RE world through Damnation than there was through RE6.
All in all, the game really just felt more like…idk, a practice round. Basically Capcom throwing every idea they had for the franchise from 1 to 5 mostly and gaining feedback on which is liked most. Makes for a good study for possible quality games in the future, but it doesn’t make for good quality game right now and assuredly not for $60. I’m not sweating it though, I got it as a gift. Part of me wants to trade it in, but since it was a Bday gift and the fact that I really don’t like trading in games if I can avoid it, I’ll likely keep it. Besides, I’m not really itching for much that’s out there.
Played through RE5 again since Gold Edition is free for PSN+ users and I haven’t played Desperate Escape DLC. I appreciate this game’s controls alot more now. smooth movement, being able to move while aiming, not having a dumb AI hogging up resources were greatly missed. In turn, I liked having a camera with a great field of view.
The best thing about Svetlana was that she was genuinely a human like Leon and Ada. No superpowers, viral injections or anything, but a President who could go toe to toe with the main characters and kick their asses. Well, Leon’s anyway; Ada managed to keep up with Svetlana. Leon just got thrown into the air and quickly rolled for his gun.
Wesker though is still the best hand-to-hand fighter IMO, his super-strength didnt give him those fancy moves. a fight between Jake and Leon would be pretty badass not gonna lie…
Not only that, I wanted to see Carla fight. All she did was toss needle-bombs, fly around, and outrun Chris and Piers as if she was a hoe who owned her pimp money (admit it, she was not properly dressed for combat and Chris was hell-bent on arresting her ass).
Yeah running around in a sleezy dress and high heels would impede your movement, but you have to look at the fact that she had a zipline gun, and she pretty much LOCKED every damn door to impede Chris’s path and or send J’avo at him. I was really disappointed on how quickly Carla died I expected the y’know come back from the dead into huge ass monster thing (Well Ada’s scenario yes but it would have been a more appropriate boss for Chris IMO)
