Yeah popularity aside, Leon’s kind of mid-tier. Not quite as agile and swift as the girls, not as ridiculously strong as the men… can’t go through a story without crashing a vehicle or blowing some shit up. He probably pulled the most numbers though.

Sheva and Josh are also quite competent, but I would say they are also above Leon. Sheva went toe-to-toe with Wesker while Josh and Jill took out the rest of the Majini.
Billy’s a war veteran (as memory serves me), and Jake is a mercenary.
All Leon has is Raccoon City and saving Ashley.

Leon when on a covert mission to save the presidents daughter and took out Spain while at it. And are ppl forgetting Leon is VERY skilled with a knife and nearly handled virus infected Kaurser.
Pst… theres no way I put Leon and Chris on the same level. Leon is calm and collective, thats how he manage to survive so long. Chris is mentally unstable and his impulsiveness and temper kills everyone around him.

And Degeneration and Damnation also count for Leon. The only people more experienced than him are Chris and Jill. And as it was said above, the years of getting put through absolute emotional hell has made Chris a ticking time bomb. Most of Alpha Team was killed thanks to his rage. At this point it seems he’s just going out there to get killed. Pretty much why he didn’t even try to stop Jake from shooting him rather than, you know, explaining how much of an omnicidal maniac Wesker was.
In comparison, Leon’s lack of emotional and familial contacts help him so he doesn’t go crazy. The only one that screws with him is Ada, but at this point he’s pretty much just accepted that when he’s on a mission, she’ll show up, know more than she lets on and will help him and bail when she feels like it while being miraculously vague. His ability to stay calm in crisis situations is definitely more reliable. I’m kind of surprised they keep Chris as a Captain in BSAA, not because he isn’t capable but he’s gotten two of his teams killed within 6 months both of which could’ve been prevented somewhat.
In her scenarios, it’s pretty obvious that despite being a tease and that kiss they had, Ada does care about Leon, though it’s unlikely that they’ll finally get together until the world is truly at peace. At first, I’ve never cared about them as a couple, but now I wish they actually get together. 6 was a perfect opportunity to finally clear things up when Helena told Leon to go after Ada. That, and the BOW Ada destroyed in Carla’s lab, was probably Leon. It didn’t explain why Ada got so pissed off in her ending, but seeing it was forming into a humanoid-like body, it was clearly someone she “cared” about. She didn’t seem to be that bothered about Carla running around, unless that was the reason why she was pissed.
Chris, however, always seem to let the fact that Wesker was around to be his reason for fucking up.
Well if Carla WAS that obsessed with being THE Ada Wong, it would make some sense that she’d maybe try to make her own Leon. Dunno who else it could be though, but it’s a very rare day that Ada gets legitimately angry.

Sheva merely distracted Wesker, you also have to note that she only went toe-to-toe with him in the airplane, AFTER Chris injected the Serum into Wesker, dramatically weakening him. Did you see how easily he handed Sheva and Chris their asses at the same time right before that boss fight? The only thing he used his super speed for was to dodge bullets AT A DISTANCE (hell it looked like he was dodging bullets up close without it by just parrying the arms with the guns held). Plus Wesker was captain of STARS.

Billy was in the USMC, and he went through RE0 so he has experience. From the look of things Jake has been a mercenary since forever, and he’s obviously a trained martial artist, I place him high because his fighting style is so reminiscent of his father’s.

The woman eradicated the entire lab, then switched back to her usual composure just as she received a call about a new job. There are other moments where Ada had exhibited reactions to annoyance such as during her fight with Svetlana.

Oh, yeah. He was weakened when Sheva went up against him, and Jill tackled him out of a window, so it’s all goes to her actually. I do wonder how she got kidnapped, well the process, as in if Umbrella employers came by and scooped her up.
Rebecca…poor girl. She really is frail, and compared to everyone else as far as I see it, she’s a shrimp. In her defense, she’s the medic, so that explain why she’s not combat-suavy.
I want Nicholai for Mercenaries DLC, give him big time health and healing items, a knife and the strongest pistol. I’d wager there’s enough environmental hazards to deal with most bosses and powerful enemies even with such a miniscule loadout.

Well to be fair, Wesker REALLY hates Chris (he hides it so well >_> ) and when he had Chris on the ropes, he was taking in the moment and getting ready to finish off his archnemesis once and for all, which is why Jill was able to tackle him. Again he handed Chris AND Jill their butts. Wesker obviously survived the fall because…he’s Wesker, but Jill was knocked unconscious most likely and he just scooped her up and put her in his experiments.
Oh I did forget, Nicholai is still running around out there as well. Incoming Nicholai/Svetlana battle couple Master Race.
