Not terribly happy with the way it was turning out, decided to redraw certain parts to get cleaner lines. Should be ready soon.

Worked on it most of the night of and on with some of the other stuff I’ve had to do. The facial features weren’t clicking with me so I’ll need to come up with a different approach. Take a look, tell me what needs fixing.

I’ve definitely no complaints so far. My plexi shows up today, I’m kinda psyched.
As you can see, it’s pretty close to completion here. Minor tweaks and just a little more drawing to do… barring any major complaints it’ll be ready by this evening.

It’s looking rather cartoony rather then the manga approach the original post has posted, looks brilliant so far tho.

That was actually what I was going to bring up. I figure it will look better when more filled/detailed out, though. No worries here. Face looks better for sure, in general I’m pleased.

The cartoony look comes from clean black lines of equal thickness. Basically your brain is filling in the missing color information with a simplistic style to match these lines. I can always fill areas in with black as prefered style dictates, but early on I was under the assumption that Raeli wanted to do that sort of thing himself. Commission is all about what the customer wants, so if I need to make changes I certainly will.
Quick Edit: While I’m thinking about it, this will be in a deliverable state in about 30 minutes. I will pack in all of my relevant work files along with this image in both Illustrator .AI format and Smart object .PSD for Photoshop. If I need to send files as any other format, along with image dimensions let me know and I will make sure that is included.
Hmm, what about SVG? I typically use the GIMP for anything stick art related because of how quick it is to use, and it really loves the SVG format.
Hmm, could you give me a draft of the lineart, and one colored so I have stuff to compare with?
I’ll see what I can do about SVG. In the meantime, take a look at this and make sure you’re 100% happy with it. Though if you need tweaking in the future I’m not opposed to doing that. You’ll get all of my working files when you’re ready for the image. That includes my original drafts as well. I won’t leave you twisting in the wind after you’ve paid for it.

I like the work you’ve done here, and while I’m not opposed to filling in the details myself, I think it’d probably come out a lot better if you did it. SVG isn’t necessarily a big deal, I can work with a PSD of it as well.
I’ve created an SVG, the entire thing is packed and ready when you are. I’ll work with you on the image and layout to make sure it looks good with your setup. I won’t do any color work, but I will assist in making necessary tweaks and additions to lineart and make sure you get what you want. I’ll provide paypal information at the appropriate time along with a direct link to the file. Once you have it in your hands I’ll provide the support.

Having to fill in a bunch of black is just going to make it harder on me to have it look good. I’m not so good at the freehand stuff in photoshop either… coloring, shading, etc, isn’t hard but that could rape me.

Here’s a newer version, something I was able to play around with today. I wasn’t too sure about the amount of coverage you’re looking for so I’ll post this up; it’s easier than sending an SVG. I’ve actually done more than this shows, but I’d rather find out about the black coverage before I go too crazy.
Good in some places, def needs a bit more on the legs… blacking out an entire part of his bicep sees a little strange but I’ll wait to see where you’re going with this first.
Also: Hair? Looks kind of strange in the state it’s in.
