Seriously though I think Trump speaks to the people that have felt left out since Obama took office back in 2008. Obama not holding radical islam accountable for their actions and always tried to spin the blame on someone or something else. Won’t even mention that it was muslims that were behind the attacks.
However that might be because Obama wanted to undo the actions and damage that Bush had done with the Iraq war. However leaving one of a few allies in the world to fend for themselves is inexcusable. And Bush only reacted like that due to the first real terrorist attack happening on American soil happened on his watch and scared him for life.
Or Obama neglecting the honoring of police or military personal. Instead either ignoring it completely or siding with the other side even when the facts come out later that the other side caused it and the police did all that they could. Trump is the opposite of that and speaks to those people who have felt slighted by the Obama administration.
Meanwhile conservatives may feel that government has grown too much and wanted a drastic change. And hope that a savvy businessman would look at a problem and decide to solve it another way that throwing money at it and hope it goes away. Obama has thrown at least 2 trillion dollars at programs like healthcare, welfare, social security etc… for every year he’s been in office. So that is what? 16 trillion dollars that he’s thrown money at a problem that isn’t working?
Illinois has a “business” man for governor. And he has made many unpopular cuts, especially in a deeply rooted Democrat state like IL where most of the citizens live in Chicago and depend on local entitlement spending to get by. Not seeing the big picture they complain and wish that they had their two previous governors back who are both in jail for fraud… If Trump gets elected I suspect that to a degree these conservatives want the same cuts than Rauner is giving Illinois. And bring in an honest budget that we all could work with as Trump is supposed to be a business man. Time will tell though.
Well obviously on top of that Trump appeals to people who believe that whites have lost their position as the “majority” in the country. So racists flock to him as well. However that really seems to be the only thing that the left attacks on Trump. That the KKK, neonazi’s, white power groups etc… all support him and he won’t say that he doesn’t want his support. Especially on social media where you’ll see hundreds of memes a day to the message of if you support trump you’re actually a racist. Or that you’re a xenophobe.
That being said, me being in IL, it doesn’t matter who I vote for. Whether I write in a vote for a goat, Gary Johnson, Trump, Ron Paul who isn’t even running, a corpse whatever, the democrat nominee will easily take IL. Pretty much always has and always will. So yay for futile effort. Would be nice to live in a swing state so my vote actually matters for this election.

As someone who’s living in a decently sane part of the world, I immediately recognized the danger in one of these fucknuts actually becoming the president of the U.S.
The absolute worst case scenario would be Ted Cruz, followed by Donald Drumpf. (Hurray… those are the probable ones remaining.) The “best” scenario for the American people as a whole from the GOP “party” has already left the debate, being Rand Paul who is the least stupid.
Ted Cruz is dangerous because of his extremist religious beliefs. He is anti abortion, which means that Cruz believes that women should not have control over their own bodies when it comes to pregnancy, and he’s been working to institute abortion bans in Texas that were **so extreme that they were ruled unconstitutional **and had to be repealed. Not only that, but he even opposes abortion in cases of rape or incest, though he does stop short of using the biblical standard of forcing the victim to marry the rapist. Still, forcing a woman to carry a rapist’s child to term is one of the most extreme views one can have on abortion, one that even staunch anti-abortion activists shy away from. But while his stance on reproductive rights are pretty shaky, it’s not the only social issue he’s extreme on.
His views on immigration are contradictory and hypocritical. For example; Ted Cruz was born in Canada to an American mother and a Cuban father. With such background you’d expect that he would be somewhat sympathetic to the plight of immigrants and refugees who come to the United States in search of a better life. However, he opposes any leniency for illegal immigrants whatsoever, including those who were brought over as children with no choice in the matter, but he’s not alone. Hillary Clinton has been found to say the same thing, so she’s no better when it comes to that. He seems to be of the all too common mindset that immigration, even if it isn’t the “illegal” sort, is a negative.
Last point, because this is turning into a too long of a post. He doesn’t believe in climate change, which not only is bad for you Americans, but for the entire world. When electing the most powerful president, you, as a people, have the responsibility to make sure that he takes the PLANET seriously. The planet is nothing to play around with, it is all we’ve got, and it is already way overdue to act FIERCELY on it.
The Paris climate change talk produced small steps toward attacking climate change, but is NOT good enough.
