Ok so, this is getting kind of ridiculous you guys. I main T.Hawk, and that means I put up with enough drama in my life as it is.
If we don’t have anything constructive or topic related to post, let’s just not.
As for alternates/replacements. I play Abel because I think his step kick is Awshum. There aren’t really tactical reasons for when I change characters, its usually just to change the pace of the game for me, and spice things up.
I get pissed off when I go on a losing streak online because of Hawk’s disadvantages against Gouken, Blanka, Juri, and a laundry list of other characters, but I honestly can’t see myself seriously using another character.
For starters, every time I even think about learning a secondary, I think about how much effort and time that takes. Learning combos, set ups, match ups, improving execution, and of course getting my ass kicked for weeks while I learn. It’s just going to take more time that I have, really lol. I already have to squeeze in AE between other crap in my life and I’m barely escaping with adequate sleep as it is lmao.
Plus, I feel as if I have given everyone on the AE roster a fair shake to this point and I’m not comfortable with anyone else other than T. Hawk. Forgetting his shortcomings, he’s by far the only character that “fits” my play style – Mind fucking, defensive, and trolling 
I’m not an execution type of guy, so shotos, chargers, and everything else aren’t an option. I basically learned SF4 with Hawk. I go to tournaments all the time with Hawk – and I’m usually the only person there that uses him. He’s become part of my tournament persona in a way – and yes, I’ve been blown up ridiculously in tournaments. Like I said though, I’m no where near as skilled with a secondary for me to even think about switching as a counter pick.
I’d probably say Makoto, Honda, or Adon are good choices if you don’t want Gief or Hakan. Or, if you really want to be bland, just pick up Rufus like everyone else lol.
