I’m pretty excited about dedicated sessions where the goal is primarily to get better. Can’t bring much other than one Xbox stick but I can definitely help set up.

Hey Koogy, if you were going to do a ranbat series, is there a specific format that you use? I’m trying to set up something similar in my hometown. I’m in NorCal currently but I’m relocating sometime next year for school in Reno, and I’ll be there in the summer so I’d like to go to at least one of these if they continue to go well.
Me & my bros are available for fridays, saturdays & possibly sundays if held in the afternoon. I can bring a ps3 with 4 sticks along with the games plus maybe I can bring a small TV or 2. Also I can host a session but, only on saturdays because everyone in my house works so they need sleep. I can also bring a dreamcast & ps2 if there are serious players who want to learn different fighting games like for example my lil bro takes 3rd strike & marvel seriously while my other bro plays Tekken & Guilty Gear while I play pretty much Jojos so what I basically saying is that we want to expand & be versatile in fighting games but, we don’t know if that’s a good idea. We just want to expand & reach out to people who may be bored w/ street fighter so we thought why not try something else. Let me know if you guys want to try this idea or not.
Sundays I’m free all day, other than that my work tends to schedule me on any other day so I’d be able to make some but not others.
There’s nothing wrong with learning multiple games. I play MvC2 / 3S / GG, so I can cover all those bases myself. However, multiple people playing multiple games means that your overall skill level will probably be lower in all those games. When I say that we’re having a practice night, it isn’t the one night a week that you practice; you actually go home and practice on your own, and learn from your mistakes. You just get together at my house to play each other and get live 1v1 fights.

Is there anyone who can set up recording? This would be extremely helpful in helping people get better, and I could help teach people how to use videos to help them get better as well.
I’m not really heavily into the recording thing, but I would like to be able to record matches if the need arose. If you can come over sometime and help me set up some tests, I’d happily do it. :3 I was also debating about doing a streaming set-up sometimes, but I’m not sure how it would all work out.
