also playing against justin’s necro one thing that bugs the hell out of me is necro’s crouching jab. justin says u can cancel on reaction to electric snake from it so it is something i rather not be in range to be hit by.

Cool ideas about the Necro match up one of the things I do is parry his dive attack since it so slow. Also depends where he migth land I migth dash backwards and trow a low lov and imeditaly SA1 or SA2 in the case I dashed foward. One of the thing that Necro has going for this figth is his stun power and range but u can win range wise with lov. Another thing is his diferent special attack that are over head I worry more of the one where he jumps with his hands compared to kick one because I can do a lk rrf before he hits me. In the case of the one where he uses his hand there is a small lag so u can attack him or grab.

man, his ex overhead kick is brutal. looks cool too. Those are actually some good points u brought up, cause both those moves can be dangerous to a turtling Remy or anyone for that matter since they are very safe if blocked. The crazy thing is that since his EX Flying viper reaches so far, u can do long distance overhead games, like max range c. jab xx EX viper. Upclose, u can make em guess the high/low game like makoto, but do c. short xx EX Overhead kick. After he does that, Necro has more options… Since the Overhead kick is very very safe, u can follow up with another series of overheads, like c. jab xx ex flying viper etc. Stuff like this for ME has always hurt me as a remy player because as a GUILE player, im used to always charging for flash kick, so when ur forced to block stuff high, kinda sucks. As a tip to a person playing against Remy, I suggest keepin him locked down by making him block UOH’s once in a while, to prevent what i like to call “psychic Flash Kick” syndrome.
I usaly play against Necro similar to what I would do against a Hugo player. That it keep him at bay I only do RRf if is certain that it would connect also when he does drill thingy in the air I parry it and do a RRF or cr.HP and RRF HK. That would stop doing his air game and would try to stick to the ground seeing that u can counter his air tactis and we all know that Remy is good at keeping his enemies far away.
Akuma Keep-away
I just thought about something. How about using s.rh against Akuma when he hasn’t got meter? From like a bit more than 1/3 screen distance.
In case he tried to walk/dash up, he’ll get hit. In case he did the Demon Flip, he’ll get hit before it starts up. Might be useful as a way to stop his mixup.
I also started using s.rh as a round starter sometimes. Stops jump-ins and dashes of like everyone but Makoto and Oro.
Against Necro’s c.jab i’d try the usual pushout move: Ex Low LoVs, but then again if you’re not charged up…hmm…maybe CBK’s airborne startup is enough to avoid it and then knock Necro down. Haven’t tried that out yet though. But seeing as its a keep-away match Necro might not expect you to just CBK.
Yeah that another one with Necro doing CBK when dosen’t expect it that way u can keep the corner presure on for the rest of the match. BTW I prefer using st.HP to stop some dashes has for using st.HK to the same I find it harder to pull even so I use it has anti air.
Ken
So far I’ve had no problems against Ken, but I watched the Ryo-Chin match towards the end of the 2nd part of Coop Cup 2 and thought like “How do you get around that?”
If Ken just sits in crouching guard, whiffs c.strongs, and randomly inputs high parry commands. You could hit him with like 2 or 3 Short CBKs, but the risk of a Parry to Super Combo is just too much for me in order to use CBKs a lot against those types of players.
When Ken hasn’t got meter you can harass him with the c.forward of course, but once he does it’s a bit harder.
Maybe you really just have to be patient and continue throwing Low LoVs.

I was being facetious about the posts on here…I love your argument that our posts about necro vs remy suck too much and necro not suck vs remy…that pretty much throws our posts in the trash. The only thing I like about necro is that he’s Russian, as Russia holds a special place in my heart <3
remy keep away game is very good but necro can walk and coner remy if he play well necro only need one chance and he can land a 100% stun combo on remy and remy are dead
i think this match up is very hard remy and necro need play very well if they want win remy need a very good defense and keep away necro and necro need coner remy and try stun this guy

What about players that don’t keep away? I play Remy aggresively, which sounds whack, but it’s possible, you can ask anyone who has seen me play. So then I guesss that stuff you posted wouldn’t count for me? I’ve never really had a problem fighting any necro, other than when they get scared and start doing their stupid electricity shit everytime you jump in…
remy can play aggresively only if player is in the corner or in weak up you can atack necro but is very dangerous because necro “stun factor” he only need one chance and you are dead or very near of stun because remy have very short stun bar … if you see more vids of japanese necro vs remy players you can understand why this match up is 5/5

i’d say remy is an aggressive turtler character in that your busy doing something always either intercepting someone from coming in or making way so u can come in. mutant xp says he needs to play necro versus my remy very patiently since necro as we all know wont be dashing forward unless they got a knock down from a lariat or throw.
its the moments from the knock downs and the mix ups from it that give necro the advantage cus elec snake hit confirms and if im baited i eat a back fierce. that slow inch forward with necro on a knocked down remy kills me. but at the same time remy kara throw with roundhouse helps alot since if they inch away for a back fierce u might reach them to throw them. but then again they’ll be playing of your mp kara throw range for that to work.

I know old thread is old, but I was playing online today and got dominated by a by-the-books Makoto. I was able to outplay him here and there, mostly with mix-ups and mind games, but ONE landed SAII and it was GAME OVER! It’s so frustrating being in the lead by half a health bar, only for the opponent to land one combo and destroy your entire stun bar AND health bar. I was also scrambling for effective counters when the Makoto made a mistake. EX lovs and rrf, possibly a throw, but that does not compare to the damage Makoto can inflict. It’s just not fair, lol.
