Can someone break down how to change the color for a specific button I feel like a dumb shit I can wire up just about anything but a freaking led is giving me trouble and yes I’ve read the pdf I’m just a dumb ass
Hold down Start to enter the Setup menu. Until you see a blue/green/red/white vertical pattern you can release start and you are now in the Setup Menu.
Now to configure color for a specific button, you hold down the Select button while you are in the Setup Menu. And now while holding Select, you should see the colors that are configured to each individual button light up. Still holding select, push the button you would like to change the color for.
You will see buttons 1, 3 , 5 light up in blue, green, and red (In that order) You use those to increase that amount of color (Kind of like mixing colors with paint in a ratio) clicking the buttons below 1, 3, 5 or in other words (2, 4, and 6) decreases the corresponding color above.
Once you are done configuring the color for the button, you can hit select to return back to the “Favorite Colors”/button color configuration menu and either save+exit by hitting button 5 or change another button following the same procedure.
Perfect man for some reason the way Toodles explained it threw me off
Thanks Donkey your good guy I don’t care what anybody says about you
The play buttons need to be help down when you release Start and Select. The order you press things isn’t important, just that those play buttons be held when you let go of Start and Select. Once Start and Select are released, you can let go of the play buttons.
Soldering isn’t an issue for me, but I have a PS3 TE with a Paewang dual-mod in it, can I still use the Remora with the Paewang?
Not telling not to buy a Remora but wouldn’t it be easier just to get a led controller that is universal so you don’t have to tear up both boards
Yes, its possible, but it requires soldering to power, ground, and 8 button signal lines. I recommend asking someone experienced like Gummo or JDM714 to do the work
What do people say about me? Everyone loves me!
Any recommendations on where to screw down the Remora on a Fightstick Pro? It doesn’t fit in the same spot as the terminal strip, and screwing it to the alternate spot leaves it too far for CN1/CN2 to reach.
JDM had to re-drill small holes above the original ones on the ramora to fit the pro’s
Works great with my ps360 board thanks toodles and purplearms. I thought I hooked it up wrong could’nt get them to work. I realized I had the connections to the Arc3’s on backwards. So basically it was only doing wierd stuff with blue and green. Good thing it did not mess anything up so far.
Does that mean you will be releasing a new board or just a firmware update?
As the boards sell out and I have to order more made, I try to implement any improvement ideas that would be helpful. The Imp went from a USB only through hole kit to an assembled surface mount RJ-45 studmuffin over the course of its time. The through hole version of the Chimp went through 2 board revisions before the current ChimpSMD. It simply means I will continue to try and improve things over the course of its life, that’s all. For example, priority #1 when it comes time to revise the board is making it directly compatible with PS3 MadCatz sticks, both the ribbon connectors and trying to make the board smaller to fit easier in the PS3 Pro case.
The Remora does not have a user upgradable firmware. So the idea is that when the next restock takes place and I edit the board to be a 1.1 version, I’ll add what I can to the firmware, so the 1.1 boards have a 1.1 firmware. As the board evolves, so will the firmware.
Possible bug. I favorited orange and it has trouble being displayed in screen savers. It does a weird two-flash from red to yellow. It even messes up when I do RippleInOut. To note, none of the buttons have trouble displaying the color on ‘press’ only when it is part of an action. Totally weird.
Also, it only happens when orange is a favorites color, so not when I use FullRainbow or others that display orange. Cheers for the help.
Also also, FaveSimple works fine at displaying the orange properly.
Quick question this time: is there a way to get the turbo lock switch to maintain its function (i.e. turning the LEDs off) when used with a PS360+? If not, where on the Remora are things controlled such that I might be able to add a switch to control them?
I’m not sure it would work the same but I enlarged the two holes on the remora so I could shift the whole board down so it would not be visible through my plexi replacement
is it possable if the Remora was moved 2mm or so back from the buttons would it fit properly in the fightstick pro?
So in order to hook up the remora to a MC cthulhu, you’ll have to cut the ends off of those cables that come with the remora that go to the madcatz pcb and stick them into the cthulhu’s screw terminals?
yep
Yes… the kill ground from the turbo panel should be directly connected to the kill ground on the remora (and regular ground from remora to the ps360+)… i’ve been meaning to make a pinout diagram for remora… will get to it this weekend…
I have a question, i don’t have the wires for my xbox round 2 TE since I replaced everything with a mc cthulhu, so what are those connectors to the remora board called since i’ll probably have to buy some more, and where does each invidual wire from the remora go to the cthulhu?
