'RemixCombosOne' A new Combo video

Any clue how big the kara cancel window is to get the mash specials to work? I find it interesting you can kara cancel the same attack you’re mashing into the actual special, because that doesn’t work in 3S for whatever reason.

Is getting mash specials after 3 presses new to HDR? If so, how many presses did you need before (ST)?

yeah, it was never 3. The moves themselves were actually made worse because they’re so much easier to perform now.

I think it was 5 in st, I never counted, I just mash! lol.

I’m pretty sure it was four in HF, but I’m not so sure about ST. I too was thinking that that attribute is a detriment to combos. But I found some good uses for the faster HHS.

Has anybody tried combos with weird tiger-knee like setups? I was bored at a friend’s once and did some strange shit with Chun-Li’s new SBK, like charging Down-Back, then moving to Forward then to Up-Back and pressing Kick, would get me a backwards SBK that went straight instead of in an arc (basically because the input was finished as she was already in the air from jumping)…and I did it going to Up-Forward and got her SBK to just go straight

Her aerial SBK goes straight, like it did in HF, so that’s what you saw. I can’t see a low aerial SBK being valuable against a grounded opponent…'cause that’s why her Vanilla ST grounded SBK was changed in the first place…but it might have interesting results on an opponent in the air. What would really be tight is if the last hit of the aerial SBK was an overhead. Then, you’d have something. Might make her a little strong, though.

regarding honda’s juggle bug…

since no one replied (I’m guessing there isn’t too much offline play going on) I’ll go ahead and confirm that this happens offline. I had hoped that it was a weird lag issue since I remember pulling off some impossible combos in the beta with ken. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. Seems that it happens most often against jump ins.

I really don’t like this. A lot of the issues with this game are online/training mode only or just system quirks imo. This one is rubbish though, not only because it looks completely stupid but it completely defies all of the SF2 combo mechanics.

Note, I’m talking about trading with honda’s super and allowing absolutely any move to juggle. Not the honda vs boxer set-up seen in ‘remix combos one’. The difference being, the set up in the vid will never happen in a proper match but trading with his super definitely will.

Yeah, but this is what happens when a non-technical person starts messing with the Combo Engine. And by non-technical, I just mean a non-Combo-Savvy non-Systems-Savvy person. I mean, for example, a person like you probably would NEVER put in a rule to allow only Fei Long’s Flame Kick to Juggle four times because it’s “fun”.
